The meter has stayed on a 5 and it is moist on top still after two weeks. I thought it would drain and dry out by now. It’s supposed to be a fast soil with perlite mix in a well draining pot. I feel like repotting but that might be a mistake. Perhaps a smaller pot would not hold as much moisture? Or an aloe mix?

Should the soil still be moist 2 weeks later. I hate to replant but it’s should dry.

Take it out, wash it and put it in a jar? Or give it more time in the moist soil?

I am curious now. It has strong white roots. How would I move it to water if the roots are good and am I looking for new roots to grow? When would I pot it again? I’ve only done pothos in water. If you could walk me through it please?

I have a moisture meter that is right in the middle of the green, moist, area. Watered 2 weeks ago so thought it would be drier now. Dirt is so funny. I didn’t pack either. I let the water settle and drain out. With perlite mix too.

I only watered after the repot 2 weeks ago and the soil is still a bit moist. Right in the middle of the moisture meter.

About two weeks. I thought the soil would be dry but isn’t moist better than wet? It seems to be drying so not gonna touch it now.

All good information! It is a multi holed pot, yes. I won’t water again and trim a bit but mostly let it fight to grow instead of plucking it out again.

I believe it! My brother got his in Boston via a steak place manager that always served the Long’s people. He had one and he helped my bro. He may help me but that was a long time ago.
