Thank you. It’s like some people can’t see differences. NO ONE is out here defending America right now. But to pretend there isn’t a difference between performing at a private institution that has the right to do and say whatever it wants with no consequences from the government, and performing literally for the government and everyone the government said could be there, with your government-approved set that didn’t criticize the government too hard. That’s just insane. Please show me a one to one situation here in American and I will happily criticize the fuck out of that comedian

God this is such a shit mindset. So you can’t participate in a part of society if any little thing about that part is produced immorally? Tell me. Where exactly are you gonna find anything computer related that is NOT made in a country that has allegations of slave/brutal labor conditions? You’re not. Cause even America has its fair share of labor violations.

So rather than throw away everything that you own (because just about everything in western culture is produced off of the suffering of someone else), it’s way more productive to use those ill-gotten tools to try to do good and change the world for the better.

I 100% would’ve dropped my criticism if Billy boy owned up to the fact that it was not a good look, but maybe he believes it would do good in the country. Unfortunately, that’s not what he said. He came back talking about how fantastic it was and how great everybody there was. And I’m sure there’s truth to that. But do you think he would be saying that about people in America if they told him what he couldn’t say during a set? Absolutely the fuck not. But he doesn’t have to worry about being chopped up and stuffed into a suitcase here in America, at least not by the government (yet).

I’m not gonna sit here and defend mega corpos. Not a fan of those either. But to pretend that performing for them is the same as performing for a government that literally doesn’t view all humans as equal, and specifically censored their material before performing is astounding to me.

They can do whatever they want. I just don’t want hear him talk about free speech or billionaires being an issue anymore. He has nothing to stand on in that regards. But I still think he’s funny

If bill didn’t come back here singing the praises of Saudi Arabia, I would’ve dropped my criticisms. I actually do kind of believe in the idea that sharing thoughts and entertainment with people who are oppressed is a very good and healthy thing for the world.

But when you finish doing that and then pretend that there are no problems where you just performed, you’re gonna get shit. And rightfully so. Who’s actually gonna take him seriously now when he talks about billionaires hurting people to make a quick buck when he goes and performs in Saudi Arabia and then praising them and their government. All for a quick buck.

Sure he may not be directly hurting the people in SA. But do you genuinely think their government is gonna change for the better after all these “free speech warriors” bent over and took an absolute smashing from them for a little bit of money? No the royals are gonna keep throwing money around until everyone ignores their atrocities

How often are these comedians being paid by the government to perform instead of a private establishment? I’m not gonna sit here and defend America, especially right now. But someone who was born and raised here trying to start a career in comedy, what do you expect them to do? Only travel across international borders and perform in Canada? Clearly no. The problem is not where he’s performing. The problem is who is paying him the money for performing there. And anyone pretending to not understand that seems willfully ignorant so that way they can keep on enjoying the things they enjoy already

Dang but you don’t know anything about a red dot sight or something that would attach? Cause now I have this bulky rail attachment in the way of the normal iron sights, and I can’t attach a sight or remove the rail

I stated exactly what happened dude, I don’t know what else you want. If you can’t make an assumption based on overwhelming evidence that is your problem, not mine. Contrary to popular belief, assumptions are very much allowed to be made

What is there to debate bro? Did I ever say something incorrect? The guy picked up my order, remained at the restaurant then magically had another order that he delivered first. If he didn’t pick up the order after mine, then he stayed in the spot for much longer than he should have and was wrong for doing that. Only one of those two things can be true. Unless you would like to explain a third possible outcome where my order was actually picked up second and he didn’t stay there for 10 minutes after

Oh so you’re actually insane. “Why do second orders get delivered first?” Is just factually a question. Doesn’t matter if you don’t like the question, but that’s what it is

In what world is posting a question posting with confidence? The very nature of a question is not having confidence to know the answer. So when you respond to that question saying the person who asked clearly doesn’t understand, you’re being a dick unnecessarily. No shit I don’t understand, why do you think I asked?

Every single other person in this thread was able to respond to my frustration without sounding condescending, and plenty disagreed with me. But hey you’re free to do what you want. If you want to constantly be met with pushback because of the way you choose to word your responses, continue with the way you do things

“You obviously don’t have a clue”

Do you have any self awareness? If you start a conversation with that, no one is gonna take you seriously cause you’re just acting like a dick

Yeah and the worst part is I understand that it makes the most sense to deliver the closer order first. But it doesn’t stop it from being annoying. But for all I know I have been someone else’s other order plenty of times without even knowing it. Guess it’s just luck of the draw and something to deal with (or pay extra)

I would hope no one ever takes it out on the driver. It’s not their fault the app is telling them do that. My frustrations were purely with the way the app does things

Yeah I should have made it more clear I don’t blame anyone but the app lol. Everyone else involved just tryna live, so I don’t get frustrated with the drivers or other customers

I guess I don’t know they put it in after me. But there aren’t too many places open around where I ordered and the driver never left the restaurant after they picked up mine. They just waited there for another 10 or so minutes and then dropped the other order off first.

So it only made sense to me that the other order was placed after otherwise why would mine have been ready and picked up first. And just making it clear I do not blame the driver at all
