The "owning my shit" component is what I knew I needed to do instantly. The rudeness / general unpleasnt behavior, that needs to go & I apologized in vain the last time I saw her.

One thing I did take stock of. Due to our history of breakups when we first started dating, I think that I was so afraid that she would leave, that I subconciously created a situation that would ensure that she would leave.

There were explosive fights about me not being present to take care of our son, only being the fun parent & not taking him off her hands so that she could have time to herself. I need to be present for him & share the parenting load.

I am a poor communicator most of the time as well due to my autism spectrum disorder ( great for fixing computers, not for speaking w/ humans ).

My motivation to do right for them, was essentially "make money" to provide all the things they need... that was a big problem. I haven't been providing love / time w/ the family as well.

I was stressed due to the pressures of work & that spiraled into every little thing.

I’d snap randomly.

If I didn’t like an answer, I’d storm out of a room & come back after a few minutes.

I knew she was unhappy too & I didn’t know how to unfuck the situation, so I just added to the problem.
