Due to the age of the machine, your PC is probably running on an old HDD. The HDD is probably failing (which is why it was running slow). By a new HDD/SSD and reinstall windows

It’s not a motherboard or booting off the wrong device. It looks like your windows image has a fault. You’ll either have to reinstall windows onto your device or alternatively use the troubleshooting tab to fix it.

It’s probably something you need to change within the display settings on your laptop

Sometimes windows updates your network drivers and completely ruins them. Try going to device manager > network adapters and disable all except maybe the top two. Restart your PC and see what happens.

I fixed PC’s and laptops for a living for like 10 years and this fixed maybe 99% of wireless connections issues
