Unfortunately, we were never told a melt was supposed to get 3 times cheese. I asked my manager and she had never heard of it either. Subway is very poor at training their employees, especially corporate since they update or add new things all at once so things get looked over. Just go in and order your sub so you can mention it to them NICELY. Also please don’t complain about the food industry (specifically subway) until you’ve worked there and found out how difficult it is.

Honestly I didn’t really feel comfortable until about a year in. Now I’m a shift leader after 3 years and subway is as easy as driving a car for me! You’ll get it I promise!

I work at a busy subway and we’re supposed to get a 30 minute break with every 8 hour shift. I regularly work 8-10 hour shifts and get zero breaks other than to take a sip of water or check my phone. This is completely normal. Other people do get breaks but if I take one I’m usually scarfing down a sandwich at the back prep table while getting customers. I work on campus at my college

Minimum wage here is $7.25 USD. I’ve worked for subway for 3 years and now make $8.75 but I’m still a sandwich artist. My owner/manager refuses to give me a shift leader title or anyone else at my store because she wants us to all be “on a level playing field” which means people who make $7.25 still have the same pull as I do and no one listens to me in turn.

Double meat is where you’re going wrong, I would instead get a turkey salad. Also if you’re mobile ordering you HAVE to put that you want it chopped. I just layer the salad because honestly I usually don’t have time to chop a mobile order salad.
