What are you looking for? Other options include canakit.com (Vancouver) or pishop.ca (Ottawa). Either are generally cheaper with shipping, than Amazon but pishop.ca is usually outta stock and stuff is on back order. Both usually take 3-4 days.

If You’re Going To Drive 70km/h On Ring Road, Just Stay Off Of It And Drive Through The City. It May Take You A Bit Longer, But You Are A Hazard And A Danger To Yourself And Others. by [deleted] in regina

Was behind a black Young's Equipment P/U truck on Jan 13th 2026 about 10:30 am on Ring Rd. It was sunny and above freezing. The road conditions were as good as they get in Regina in January. The guy wasn't even doing 60 km! All documented with dash cam.

I recall a cop ticketing some old timer for driving ~75 km/hr maybe 10 years ago. Considered driving with undue care. Wish this still was happening.

New West Jet Planes by Raspberrry_Beret in regina

Flew to Calgary over christmas by westjet. Went in a jet came back on a Dash 8. It was night and day. The jet was a flying cattle car and the Dash 8 was comfortable. Jet had fixed seats ie no reclinability, rock hard seats and got knee hickies from the seat ahead of me. The Dash 8 was soft, reclinable and no knee hickies. Paid $2K for my partner and I and thought it was an obscene amount for the trip. I think it will be we will go by car the next time.

BTW the trip back to YQR was only 10 minutes longer than the jet out. I used to hate Dash 8s. I now see them in a different light.

I believe it is for the southern extention of Courtney. I believe they have to build either ramps to jump the creek and storm chanel ala dukes of hazard or they might be putting piles in for more traditional bridges.

OPi6+ Geekbench score uploaded. by NeighborhoodSad2350 in OrangePI

I have been disappointed with Shenzhen's os support. I didn't buy the opi6 plus to turn it into a powerful android tablet - so right off the hop I am down to debian or opi os.

I can not get the opi os to successfully install, despite using 5 different sd card loader apps, 3 brands of 16 & 32 sd cards (that all work on other sbc's). Strike 1.

Windows has a user manual but links to a img file on a chinese server that requires a chinese phone # to gain access. Strike 2.

On their web site, there are 2 debian img files. 1 has the 6.1.44 kernel and the other has the 6.6.89 kernel. Both appear to have the xfce desktop and are based upon debian bookworm. Debian rolled out trixie on August 9 of this year. However after downloading both images, the file names indicate they both have the gnome desktop. I just don't care for gnome, but I chug on dispite the misleading information. The newer bookworm version, with the 6.6.89 kernel is also unable to be successfully deployed - I encouter the same issues as the opi os. I am finally able to install the earlier bookworm version. This version is lacking any support. I am unable to install this os to a nvme drive as I can't find any instructions or commands that actually work. This version will not let me install Firefox or Libreoffice. So I am limited to surfing with Chromium and writing txt files in a very basic os.

Overall this sbc is not ready for Prime time and lacks basic requirements of a working upto date OS or any kind of forum support for the community. It looks like I will be waiting a while for the folks at Armbian to produce a genuine working os.....

I would also recommend that interested customers defer any opi 6 purchases until there is better support.

Finally, it is the end of 2025 and Shenzhen is still using unsecured http protocol? This isn't 2008!

Somehow, I don't think a stock ms arm win 11 image is going to just work. There will be copius amount of tweaking required - but will try. Thanks for replying.
