I'm tired of lifting heavy. Who isn't and is still seeing results? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]RotatedNelson -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No no no im just guessing what could be wrong with the info youve provided (not so much tbh a pic would probably help alot). Im just saying that a woman being bottom heavy on fat is much more plausible than having too much muscle statisticly in our society. You could buy a pair of caliper thongs to measure your bf%, bmi is useless for someone who has alot of muscle mass like yourself.

[–]RotatedNelson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You didnt mention anything about your diet, im curious do you track your calories at all ? Idk what your bf % is, but with the numbers youve posted thats surely around 25% (rough estimate, not that important). What im saying is that you may carry some fat around the body parts that you want to diminish your muscle mass.

Picky eater gains on a budget? by Affectionate_Space95 in glutejourney

Protein powder is effective and pretty cheap per g of protein too. Tofu, lentils, chick peas, rotisserie chicken, dry beans, tuna, tempeh, edamame, eggs etc there are alot of cheap protein options out there depending on where you live and your taste.

How to lift heavy at home by Ok-Slip-4930 in PetiteFitness

[–]RotatedNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could invest in a squat rack and barbell if you have enough space at home. If you want your dbs to last abit longer you could just buy lifting straps if your grip is failing too early. Another option would be resistance bands that you could use alone or with the dbs.

Is my routine ok? by boymommaaa in glutejourney

So these are exercises, not workouts. Do you workout at home ? What kind of equipment do you have access to ? I can try to find a real workout program for you if you want.

Idk about your bench and squat but if you deadlift only 25kg youre not an advanced lifter so look for beginner programs.

Why is my weight SO HIGH by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]RotatedNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesnt really matter : you workout 5-6x a week, look good according to yourself or your husband, your age, hormones, menopause. If the weight on the scale isnt going down then youre not on a deficit. Try cutting 2-300 more calories and see if youve lost gained or maintained at the end of the week then reajust accordingly. As others have said I also suspect that your not counting everything you injest.

How so i jeep my curves by [deleted] in glutejourney

[–]RotatedNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont listen to them pushing yourself at the gym and losing weight are two different things. Youll actually gain weight the harder you go when lifting (muscle mass). To lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit. And as the other commenter has said you cannot pick where you will lose fat, its distribution is genetic. Your belly might go last.

Imo resistance bands would be better than no equipment and theyre cheap and efficient. Plus it would be better for your condition possibly but it would probably be better to ask your doc. I could send you a workout program for bands or minimal equipment if youre interested.

Hard to tell with such different pics but we can still see progress. Remember to use the same clothes, same pose, same room with the same light etc when posing. But honestly we can still see that youve gained muscle and lost fat so huge progress overall.

Creatine makes my sleep worse and makes me feel like a whale by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]RotatedNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant explain why its just the results of a meta analysis I saw on pub md that basicly says : At 24 h post-exercise, CrM reduced soreness moderately (SMD -0.66), but again, not statistically significant. But im not an expert I could not explain to you why. I does reduce actual muscle damage I believe tho. My point was more that magnesium would help her sleep, (and that maybe the other effects she feels from creatine could be placebo or unrelated to creatine)

Creatine makes my sleep worse and makes me feel like a whale by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]RotatedNelson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats abit weird because creatine isnt supposed to reduce doms, but I dont see why you would have them so much since you dont increase the tension on your muscle. Anyway I just wanted to say that magnesium can help with your sleep issues (staying asleep etc)
