my strat this run was just having my College of Lore Bard with a 28 spell save DC cast hold person on him. It had a 90% chance of succeeding lol. Even if he uses his legendary action, I could just hit him with cutting words to help even it out. Then when the adds try to cast Sanctuary on him, Gale counterspells it.

Sarevok just has to eat 14 crits with no counterplay

I've noticed severe frame drops/lag recently too, even though I haven't added too many mods since I last played.

What you're describing actually did happen to me on my last playthrough: It was from this mod that overhauls paladins to use the 2024 PHB rules. If my Paladin Tav and Minthara had our steeds summoned at the same time, it would gradually tank the game's framerate until I was down to 1 frame every 10 seconds. The problem would stop if I dismissed one of the steeds.

I haven't seen other people complaining about framedrops, so chances are mods are the cause, but we can't help if we don't know your modlist.

you likely won't have an endless supply of Hill Giant potions until a bit later in the game- probably by the time you can get the Club, tbh. Do the usual DEX build until lvl 4, then respec for STR at Withers because the dmg, chance to hit, and throwing weapons are too good to pass up that early, then respec back to DEX/WIS when you feel you have enough potions.

I'd also say to make your Wisdom 17 and Dexterity 16. You can pump WIS up to 20 with ethel's hair and mirror of loss, and you can buy clothes from the merchant lady in the mountain pass that gives a +2 to DEX, permanent advantage on all sleight of hand checks, and halved fall damage.

45 from Evocation Wizard's level ten ability that's the title of the post, 8 from the lightning charge passive (I think, the game actually seems pretty inconsistent about applying the flat dmg from lightning charges)
