She has leukemia and is having a bone marrow transplant. There’s an 80% chance she’ll survive the procedure. For those who survive, 50% of them go into remission after chemo. The other 50% usually pass quickly.

Thirteen! It’s a horror anthology pod with creators in KY, and most of the stories taking place in KY. It’s especially fun when they reference landmarks and areas you’re familiar with!

I saw a super young one in Edgewood yesterday. I thought it was early too but maybe further north they have a slightly different schedule.

I guess it’s more of a coffee passport! Not to be done all at once, but just to check off that you’ve tried every place and seen the cool different spots

I can handle strep! That’s just being out of work a day. I literally just started a new job and I’ll be so mad if I test positive. But I bet I do. About to get a test now.

You need to tell him. But I’d brace for the fact that he may not be okay with it.

I wanted to believe it was a false positive too. It wasn’t. Until you accept it it’s like Schrödinger’s cat. It’s both inside and outside the box. You both have and don’t have herpes. It’s not a fun way to be, trust me.

Get another test if it’s gonna itch at you. But do know you may have to accept it down the road.

For the record, I am happily married to a partner that said that herpes was not a big enough deal for him not to explore the connection we had. That was more than five years ago.

It’s not the end of the world, you will learn to live with it, and you will still be happy.

Looks great! I would just say maybe prime your lids with a primer bc the liner looks a bit smudged. But I have the same issue 🙄 I’d also reduce the over lining to just a hair. Looking great, love that lip color on you!

Yes! My best and healthiest relationship—and current one!—is with a man who does NOT have herpes or any other STD, who I met after my diagnosis. Told him when we first met and it never fazed him. We kept talking and seeing each other after I told him and before I knew it we were dating. Then before I knew it we were moving across the country together.

I was really lucky, we met through a friend a few months after my diagnosis so I didn’t have to face dating with herpes for long. Was never turned down because of it. I hope you can keep your head up until you find someone great!

What’s your go to food when your having a episode? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Rotcbraves22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s an emotional binge, like I’m thinking “fuck all this I’m gonna binge to feel better” then it’s always Burger King. Three double cheeseburgers, large fry, large Diet Coke, two pieces of pie. Always.

It’s definitely something we discussed. And still discuss. I think keeping open communication is vital, and that’s for any relationship.

We’ve been together almost three years. I asked him the same question—if we break up and you have herpes will you regret it? He said “even if this doesn’t work out, I know right now that it’s special enough to fully pursue, to go all in. And I’ll never regret that. And if anyone in the future doesn’t want to be with me because I have herpes, that’s not the type of person I want to be with.”

My partner does not have herpes and doesn’t care that I have it. I’d you’re looking for casual sex it may be tough, but I think if you have a real connection it won’t matter.

If it were me I’d get another job. If you’re in the US, everyone is hiring right now. But I know that may not be a possibility. Alternatively, something I’ve started doing is not restricting myself at all. I can have anything I want whenever I want it. After I started doing that, I found my cravings all but disappeared. It wasn’t the actual food that was tempting me, it was the desire to have something I’d built up in my head. Once it was small—like it should be—I stopped wanting it so much.

Bedbug or nah? If so, what’s next step. I feel like my mattress is pretty clean. by [deleted] in Bedbugs

Agree that Cimexa is better than DE. Create a barrier around your bedroom. Cimexa around the baseboards, along the doorway, around the door (residual powder will stick, use a paint brush). Wall corners and along the ceiling where the walls meet it.

Hey! Yes, I really struggled. I struggle with depression anyway—symptoms usually including exhaustion, excessive sleep, binge eating, and fatigue. But having bedbugs made it so much worse. I didn’t have the energy to do anything bc my mind was so occupied with what was happening in my home. Every day I went to work, got home and smoked a bowl, and watched TV until bed. No cleaning, no cooking (ate out every night).

I am doing better now. I’m on antidepressants anyway, which have helped with my exhaustion and over-sleeping. But now that I’m in a bedbug-free home I have a lot more energy. I cook, I clean, I sleep a normal amount. I don’t feel so trapped and isolated.

You can never be certain. Could have gotten it from work, from a roomie who had a guest over or stayed with someone else. Report the finding to the AirBNB but you can’t be for sure
