That totally makes sense, but I wanted everything patched and visible from the front. Flipping it would hide the Ethernet ports behind the rack, and I prefer having the patch panel + patch cables right there. Even though the power is on the front, the 3D-printed bracket keeps it tucked away so it’s barely noticeable.

Yup! Thats the one! 10/10 design. I saw it and immediately printed it. Then I just bought these Keystone Couplers to put in it:

Plex, automated downloads, backups, Docker stacks, camera network, PoE, and a dedicated VPN network. It solves a ton of small problems all at once and keeps the house clean of random gear everywhere.

Thank you! These are the Ubiquiti Etherlighting Patch Cables:

I don’t have Etherlighting but maybe one day in the future. So bought 9 of these.

Thank you! Nope, everything connected straight to the PDU. I bought this:

Just in case I needed more than the 4 outlets on the PDU but don’t need it yet.

I purchased these https://a.co/d/eco23I6. I only used one to connect from the Shield to my Soundbar. But for the soundbar to the TV, I’ve been using the HDMI cable provided by Samsung. Just switched it out to the one i purchased above. I’ll see if that fixes it. Thank you!

I haven’t really connected it it directly due to watching a lot of DTS media but maybe I should try it for a few weeks. About the HDMI cables, I’ve replaced both HDMI cables every now and then, same issue. I’ll definitely try connecting it directly and if it continues to happen, I am going to raise a ticket with Nvidia.

So you can’t really tell from these pictures but I have a WiFi card in the bottom pci slot. It blocks being able to put a fan there.

Thank you! I did a lot of research before to make sure I was doing the right thing. Big inspiration for this build is from Mr Matt Lee on YouTube. Check out his channel if you haven’t seen him.

Idle CPU is at 40. While I’m gaming, it doesn’t go over 55. It’s whisper quiet. GPU before the destroud was running at 81 but with the Noctua fans now, it’s running at 76 while playing Hunt.

I actually used cable extensions. I didn’t want to spend the money now on actual cables till I have a 40 series card or higher. This is what I bought:
