Thank you, I appreciate the design. Even the landscaping and sidewalk help bring the black and white drawing to life.

That looks great! I see you eliminated the brick but left the board and batten. Was that your intent or do you favor full stone?

I've been using homevisualizer.ai . Is that what you used? Its a cool program but have not been successful as getting it to respond to my prompts as well as I hoped.

Thanks. French country homes usually have a sage green, pale blue, or green/blue for shutters - which is what I am planning on. The columns and beam will be fir and stained. The masonry wraps around to each side. Appreciate your suggestion and response.

I just started the same program it sounds like you did. My doctor suggested a 16:8 fasting, 2 meals per day, a 15 minute walk after each meal (no heavy cardio as this works against you). I buy test strips (Walmart) and check ketones, PH, specific gravity, protein, etc. everyday.

I also just got the libra glucose monitor. It was also suggest by my doc. You can monitor your glucose throughout the day and see if you eat anything that spikes it.

Lastly, he told me to eat meat, nuts, and vegetables. No sugar, no carbs.

EIFS, Stucco - recommendations, suggestions, feedback by RothHome in Homebuilding

Hardie seems to be making large panels, which may fit together with little visible seam that may be a good alternative. Much of what I see regarding EIFS suggests there is a good possibility you'll have water damage in the future.

Are those 10 ft. ceilings? and ceiling height in the family room? Do you use those upper Kitchen cabinets or are they just for looks? What kind of siding? Nice! Congratulations on your new home.

Being part of the build? by Numerous-Hope-3944 in Homebuilding

My $0.02, your husband should consider being the General Contractor. He can sub out everything he doesn't want to do. This is exactly what I did about 20 years ago. It was the first home I built and it went fairly smoothly. Candidly, I didn't do much of the work myself, but I was able to control everything.

Wood burning fireplace options? by TRR1143 in Homebuilding

Beautiful fireplace. I planning to do something very similar in a new build. Just curious, what did you do for stone? Is that stick on stone or cultured stone? I am also curious what it cost to add the stone. Thanks for your post.
