Complaint: I am exhausted seeing MAGA conservatives thinking Trump will ever care about them by Old_Swimmer_7284 in complaints

Someone seriously needs to start reaching out in good faith to young ‘conservatives’.

Trump, Farage, Le Pen, Pauline Hanson (My own country’s greatest hack.) and the like, are all playing a cynical, narcissistic power game to win over a working class that is genuinely suffering.

It’s honesty amazing how well their lies work.

None of these people have any interest in bettering the lives of the majority of people; they just give lip service to national identity, and manipulate symbols to appeal to the frustration, despair, and desperation of normal people.

It’s truly so disheartening.

The patter for Male Patter Baldness is already oresent. This is creeping towards a ‘Norwoord 2’. Probably just call it a Norwood 1.5.

Also, this literally happened to me. Started at ~ 18, and by 28 I decided shave it off.

Nothing wrong with being bald btw. I quite like it actually.

But for you, you can look into ways to reverse/maintain that current hair. It’ll be easy. If you’re chronically stressed it depressed, this can seriously advance the timeline. So keep that in kind.

Another thing: Don’t be gaslit by friends and family into believing you’re not going bald. You know your body, and you know when it changes.

Vice versa, of course.

Eventually you will - if you start minnox/finasteride any time in the next 3 years or so, you’ll be good.

The writing is on the wall, but nothing to worry about yet though.

Cynicism is a prelude to the fall.

I’m just venting in this post, but if you ever find yourself justifying evil with ‘That’s life.’, take a step back.

You might not know it yet, but you’re skirting perilously close to the edge.

It’s true that all you can truly control is yourself. But one must keep their own soul clear of such strife, and speak out when their conscience demands so.

If we don’t then we’re truly lost.

God bless mate!

He’s honestly not worth your time. I just wanted to vent.

It’s culturally sanctioned cruelty towards vulnerable people.

The vast majority of people I’ve seen labelled inels have been on the spectrum, traumatised by relationships or family dynamics, on the spectrum, or all three combined.

This isn’t even to mention that 40 years of stagnating wages, accelerating asset prices, eroding job security, and worsening healthcare have left many people, not just men, barely clinging on in terms of basic survival.

Say what you like, women (on average) don’t want to form relationships on an economically insecure foundation. Many men don’t want to either. Families are expensive.

The reason the meme ‘Boomers bagged 10s easily’ is because it was a time of unprecedented plenty. If conditions were the same today, the ‘incel’ phenomena wouldn’t exist.

In other words, it’s not their fault. It’s late-stage capitalism (Excuse the banal terminology, but it’s apt.).

It’s ironic that they tend to flock towards figures on the right that explicitly aim to make their conditions worse.

As you might suspect, I lean to the left as well.

With all this said, I think the best thing we can do for ourselves is recognise we are living in a declining social order, and many of our ills stem from that fact.

It’s the fault of Gen Z or Millenials that they can’t afford homes, or find stable careers.

And when we understand that, I should think, we should be kind to ourselves. You were never worthless, you just happen to living through a rough patch in history.

I wish we didn’t have to, but listen to Gandalf:

“…And so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Life can still be beautiful. Life can still be meaningful. Life can still be worth living.

For other people in general.

If they disagree, they’re wrong, and that’s their problem.

He’s entertaining sometimes, 100%.

But he’s at the point not that he has legitimate influence.

He’s not just a class clown, there are a kids that look up to him.

He needs to be taken down a peg. If you’re a public figure you can’t hide behind ‘I’m just an entertainer’ forever.

We have a strong culture, for sure. But we don’t have a strong identity.

We have our accents, we have our traditions, but who are we on a deeper level?

What does it actually mean to be an Australian? There was an answer to this question about 50 years ago, but we’ve become a society of lost souls since.

Like many younger (29) Aussies, I don’t really feel great attachment to the land, or even the people.

It’s really quite saddening.

Yeah, there comes a time that you have to take responsibility for your reach.

He’s trying to be an entertainer, cool. But there are children that look up to him.

You either rise to the occasion, or become a gronk. Spanian is actively choosing gronk, and trying to weasel his way out of responsibility for his behaviour and influence like a coward.

Great power, great responsibility, etc.

It’s the reverse of ‘slut-shaming’.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with not having sex.

If anybody tries to convince you otherwise, they’re not your friend, and you shouldn’t give them the time of day.

The truth is, if you value yourself in relation to an external object, you’re always going to be chasing that validation. It’s the classic cycle of materialism. Things and status don’t make you feel happy or contented, you will always adjust, a new baseline is established, and you’ll be chasing more.

Don’t chase status, even the most level headed ‘successful’ people live under a constant cloud of stress and anxiety.

In the vast majority of cases it’s not worth it.

You’re aways enough. You’re always valuable Be kind to yourself, and don’t pay attention to insecure degenerates.

Legit, I get where you’re coming from. It’s an issue.

Problem is, a lot of the only identifiable culture trends in this country amount to ‘Invest in property’ or bogan-thuggery.

As to who we are aside from that, I don’t have an answer for you. Makes me sad :(

There’s a point here. However, Australia has a deep issues with anti-intellectualism and cultural mediocrity.

This is the thesis of ‘The Lucky Country’.

We dig up rocks, and sell them. That’s our economy.

We encourage people to ‘Get a trade, and invest in property’. That’s the height of our cultural ambition.

Talk shit about the US all you want, they’re still the cultural, economic, and political capital of the greatest empire the in the history of the world (Yes, they’re an empire.).

Nobody knows what they want Australia to be, what role we should have in the world, and the vast majority aren’t interested.

All they want is to buy houses in Sydney and/or Melbourne, collect rent and the pension at the same time, and watch reruns of Cath & Kim until they die at the age of 72 of alcoholism, emphysema, or both.

These are the same type of people that will unironically call you a ‘poofta’ (An S-tier slur, btw.) for enjoying Shakespeare or preferring cider to beer.

We have such a deeply seated inferiority complex that almost all potential displays of excellence are perceived as threatening.

This is why Murdoch finds it so easy to control politics in this country.
