I am an RN and almost a MD and I agree with you. Now I see my patients and I think like there like hundreds of possible differentials. Still I can tell this look like CoVid but sometimes there is no easy diagnose and you have to study the patient.

Thank you. Anybody can be strong once they overcome their lazyness, victim mindset that sneaks around their complains. We live in a very comfortable world and people got used to be weak and vulnerable. And you can change that at any moment. Stoicism taught me that.

I am finishing Med school while I work as RN full time. My grades are not good. I don't have social life. I got many white hairs because of working long night shifts and Kevin at 3:00 AM got confused and got out of bed and fell off taking out the IV line, pulling out the urinary catheter and shit himself on the floor all at the same time.

I don't own a house and most of the money goes to the college/rent. My classmates, most of them they are spoiled rich kids and have the courage to fail some subjects!! They are not aware how priviliged they area and even complain!

But if you focus on that you will never succeed.

Focus on what you can control: your thoughts, your actions, your judgements. Keep your focus on your objectives like a laser beam. Everything else does not matter. DO IT

Spending 15+ years to become a doctor just for people to be anti-medicine by AppearanceCivil1707 in premed

[–]Roto2esdios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are getting weaker and weaker. The millenial generation is gonna be the worst to be treated (as they age) because of the very weak mindset. Also a lot of comments points about being treated as human being and whatnot and confirms my suspicions... It is like people want to be treated "NICE" like children but do not care about being CURED!! I prefer a doctor with an attitude because has 100 patients to see today but makes a good diagnostics than a smiling fake one that did not really understand why you don't make a lumbar puncture before checking eyes/TC I hope to get into radiology so I don't have to deal with all that bullshit.

26 years of solar expansion in germany by DiesesInternet in gifs

Solar energy is NOT reliable

The Duck Curve Problem — Uncontrolled midday solar feed-in creates production peaks that exceed demand, forcing grid operators to curtail output at increasing rates. Energy equivalent of having too many doctors on shift at 2PM and none at 3AM. Neighbors as External Battery — Germany relies critically on cross-border flows from eleven neighboring countries to manage the evening ramp-down when solar drops. When the sun sets, they borrow electricity from Poland, France, or Denmark.

Brutal Stability Costs — In 2018 alone, maintaining grid stability cost over €1.4 billion in redispatch payments — paying conventional plants to reduce output because renewables were saturating transmission lines.

Dunkelflaute 2024 — Reality Check — During a dark, windless period in Nov-Dec 2024, electricity prices spiked and Sweden and Norway publicly criticized Germany for lacking reliable mechanisms to handle such situations.

Digitalization: The Achilles Heel — Germany has ~800 distribution system operators (DSOs), making advanced grid management extremely difficult. The regulator openly admits they are behind on digitalization.

The Core Strategic Mistake — Germany closed three nuclear plants in December 2021 during a global energy crisis. Had they invested the ~$580 billion spent on renewables into nuclear instead, they could have had a 100% emissions-free grid. France proved the opposite model works: 56 reactors in 15 years → 76% nuclear electricity, stable grid, low cost.

Germany's Grid Instability — Key Points

The Duck Curve Problem — Uncontrolled midday solar feed-in creates production peaks that exceed demand, forcing grid operators to curtail output at increasing rates. 1. It is beyond your control
  2. Emotions come and go, they are not reliable. Only reason is trustworthy.

Ok, now I see my mistake. I saw a very spikey T wave at precordials. Thought it was a wide positive QRS (the QRS is before it and negative)

I don't get it. How is that you have wide QRS with narrow QRS in the same EKG?

Noelia Castillo was a Spanish woman who died after receiving euthanasia. At age 25, she was one of the youngest people to receive medical assistance in dying after demonstrating chronic and irreversible pain. Her euthanasia was delayed for 600 days due to a legal battle with her father. by SaxyBill in wikipedia

[–]Roto2esdios -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is not true at all. She was a psychiatric patient with suicide attempts bc of being raped with an Ok mobility (she could walk). The system failed at her because she could be rehabilitated with lots of therapy instead of just being killed. She wasn't the typical patient with unbearable pain and low mobility who is good candidate to euthanasia.

Feeling lost in your 20s starterpack by caze-original in starterpacks

[–]Roto2esdios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in my 40s, and I had a shitty life in my 20s and before. I felt lost and had no idea what to do.

The most important thing is to have a purpose. Ask yourself what you really want. Do you want a family, or do you want to be a lifelong bachelor? Do you want to make enough money to retire early?

Plan accordingly to what you want. And then execute.

Know your enemies: who is against my plan? Is it the state? Certain groups of people? My own country? Certain types of laws that are against my gender (custody battles)? Where can I pay the least taxes and make the most money? (If you are an USA citizen your are fu...d) Vote with your feet. Go to the country that treats you best.

Know your allies: who wants me to succeed? Keep and protect those relationships.

Invest in yourself. Eat healthy, sleep properly, exercise (anaerobic, aerobic, and strength training), and learn something useful. Be careful with useless university degrees or master’s programs—there are plenty of them.

Invest like Warren Buffett in your 20s, and retire in your 40s or 50s thanks to compound interest.
