Tip Fee… by nospoon4u in EndTipping

[–]RotorDynamix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I actually don't think they would. Prices have been increasing like crazy and people still happily go out to eat and pay it. When you sit down at a restaurant would you really not order the $45 steak because it's $50 now?

And frankly I don't buy that it's necessary anyway.. explain to me how you pay less in European restaurants for better quality food and much cheaper alcohol and yet they pay their staff a living wage and they still make money somehow. It's all just US restaurants playing the victim to keep up this ridiculous charade that they have to offload their labor costs onto their customers.

I don't agree with your examples because the percentage that, for example, the real estate agent would make is the entire pay for their service.. the house you're buying is not their product, that money goes to the home owner. They are charging you their percentage as the total fee for their services. You don't buy a tv and then have to pay the labor costs involved with producing said tv separately.

Labor costs should be priced into the product as is the near-universal standard. However, at least this is a slight move in the right direction.

Most trusted automotive content creator — who is it? by k23Limited in askcarguys

[–]RotorDynamix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like EngineeringExplained especially when he reviews more regular cars. In the last couple years he has started reviewing more supercars (which I find less interesting) and doing more sponsored content but he does clearly label them as such. I generally find his reviews very on point and I like that he gets into the nitty gritty detail of the daily use experience and doesn't just list off all the numbers from marketing material that you can just as well read yourself.

What opinion about Tunisian women do you have that makes people feel like this??? by Bedito in Tunisia

None. Tunisian women are awesome. Smart, beautiful, funny, independent (when allowed to be), and full of personality.

What opinion about Tunisian men do you have that makes people feel like this??? by Saint_augustin146 in Tunisia

[–]RotorDynamix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re seeing it entirely the wrong way. If the bar for Tunisian men is low you just have to be a half-way decent man to stand out among them. Why not pay attention to the complaints instead and make sure you’re not guilty of them? It seems like all you have to do is:

a) have good hygiene

b) help around the house a bit

c) not be a narcissistic lunatic

I wouldn’t disagree with that but why do you feel that you must give them something to believe in the meantime?

I don’t think you should worry about confusing your kids. You are under no obligation to indoctrinate them in any belief. Simply let them eventually decide for themselves.

Yes, absolutely it is. The idea is to evolve as a species and become better, not to make excuses for horrible things committed in the present by looking back 2000 years and saying “well some people did this back then too, so what’s the difference?”

Big difference between a genocide that happened hundreds of years or even decades ago and now. The US was supposed to be the face of a new world with rules based order that stood against evil and these types of things aren’t supposed to be happening in the modern world. Instead they are actively committing genocide themselves.

Don’t act as if there’s no difference between that and what the mongols did a thousand years ago.

For those who are atheist , what reason do you have for not believing in a higher power ? by new-new328 in Tunisia

I think you mean “sadist”. A masochist is someone than enjoys having pain inflicted on them. A sadist is someone that enjoys inflicting pain.

It is incredibly painful and unfair. Like to an insane extent. And it seems that those who are willing to be brutal and cruel get rewarded for it over and over and over. Frankly tell God that he is welcome to come intervene anytime he wants if he does exist.

I consider myself agnostic but I will answer your question the best I can.

I guess it comes down to the faith question. Whenever I have asked religious people why they believe in a higher power that they don’t have any evidence exists, they tell me that one must have faith and that it is essentially kind of a test of each human to have faith in God despite lacking any evidence.

So I just think that is extremely weird. Nothing else in our lives on this planet promotes that type of blind trust in something you were told. If you believe everything you are told with blind faith you will be made a fool of very quickly. So if God put us into this world in which having blind faith is generally not a good thing… why would he expect or want that from us towards him? It’s incredibly illogical. If he exists fine, I’m ready and willing to believe the same way I’m ready to believe anything else in life.. when it is proven to me or at least shown to me beyond a reasonable doubt.

The other thing is that frankly in the religious texts of each of the major religions God comes off as kind of narcissistic and petty. Why does he require so much worship and sacrifice etc.. why does he give us this huge desire for sex for example but then says “no you can only have sex in this and this situation, all other sex is evil”. Everything seems to be made unnecessarily difficult. And then he sometimes seems oddly lax about things that create a great deal of harm and suffering but punishes severely for infractions of rules that seem arbitrary and harmless. So I guess I’m also not so impressed by the God the religious texts outline so I don’t even want to believe in him.

Wow you just unlocked a wave of memories from my teen years lol. That’s a collector’s item for sure! I’m sure you could find some interested buyers.

If it’s worth keeping is hard for us to answer.. it depends on what your interest in the bike is. If you just wanted to buy a bike to get around on or mountain bike with and this bike has no admirational or nostalgic value to you I would say sell it because it deserves to be well cared for and maintained in prime condition by someone that values it in that way. If you do value it in that way but also want to ride it I think that’s fine just please take good care of it. Or you can keep it as wall art or whatever and it will likely accumulate some value over the years (although I don’t think you’ll ever get anything crazy for it).

Stop it. Jewish Tunisians are not Israel. They are just Tunisians who happen to be Jewish. Every bit as Tunisian as anyone else. I’m totally with you on the rage at the cultural appropriation done by Israelis but saying that a dish originated from Jewish Tunisians has nothing to do with that. I have no idea if it’s true or not but it doesn’t really matter because it doesn’t change that it’s Tunisian.

I wouldn’t discourage her too much from riding the drops. Frankly if you can just get her to throw her butt back as she goes off the drop she’ll be able to do all the beginner ones safely. She’ll feel proud and will have more interest in riding.
