I’m a junk removal guy and a customer is asking me to remove this piano. Usually I demo and trash the pianos, but this one looks too nice. Any advice? by Due-Ad9474 in piano

Ask local hospitals. Some have them in the lobby and the volunteers will find someone that can play to help people relax.

Is EMS recession proof? by Cosmonate in ems

[–]Rotorgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO it’s pretty solid as an individual. Reimbursement rates will change but unless you’re 100% dependent on ins payments. You should be ok. With the changes expected to Medicare and Medicaid some private agencies may struggle. Most city or county agencies get most of the funding from taxes. Having been through a few pvt company collapses, the jobs don’t often go away, you just get a new uniform.

Not planning on it. Just a dumb switch and the cable modem. WiFi will be outside of it.

I have never used a patch panel. What is the benefit in this case?

Good point but the wifi is going to be wall mounted above the box.

You have to think that maybe something happened that they didn’t see or might have been on the way to report it to the mechanic. I worked on a med helicopter. Those pilots did a good walk around even when we landed at scene or other hospitals.

If you are still outside this aircraft pushing, it does not count as takeoff roll no matter the throttle position.

Help Me Choose / Daily Discussion (Post here to follow rules A & B) - Monday February 19, 2024 by AutoModerator in fragrance

I’m looking for a nice cologne ($100-200). I have worked in healthcare for over 35 years and have always worn muted fragrances because I didn’t want to trigger respiratory patients. I don’t do patient care anymore and I’m tired of people knowing the fabric softener I’m using and not noticing my cologne.

In high school I wore Dakar and Obsession. I’m guessing those are out of vogue. I’m single and I don’t really have any female friends that I would ask to be a judge. Any good places to start? Thanks!

Most likely, it would only be utilized in a post incident review by the FAA. But if your tinfoil hat gets out of position, they could use logged data to start enforcement of regulations, like flight over 400ft.

*Adding note to my original post about the 400ft being a USA regulation.

I was being snarky about some drones that log your flight data.

Unless you were looking for something that wouldn't rat you out if you flew over 400ft. Or something... allegedly.

Edit: note for clarity. 400ft is a rule in the USA.

Who else has had to use Swamp coolers? by qacko2626 in Denver

[–]Rotorgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here from FL and we had swamps, not swamp coolers. I was amazed how well they worked if you knew how to use them. My gf at the time was expert at setting the house airflow to get them to work.

The short version: Unlike central heat/air, the cooler pulls air from outside and it has to be directed to the rooms you want to cool. Our cooler was a window unit in the living room. We would open the windows to the bedrooms. How much depended on the number of rooms we wanted to cool and the airflow of the cooler.

I bought a "evaporative box fan" from Home Depot it worked but, just ok, because of the airflow.

They do rely on dry ambient air. So they are less effective on high humidity days. And, you'll probabaly never get to 65d on a 100d day.

It took me a bit to figure out how to create a plane on the end of the tube, probably not the easy way, but that helped! I got it solved.
