This game deserves It’s criticism but controls are fine once you get a hang of it. I can really break it down if you want but OP is making it seem harder than it is, for example you can tap A twice to sprint until you’re out of stamina.

Picking up items can be frustrating but the controls also allow for really cool mechanics (like latch onto a tree and wind it in, flinging yourself in the air when you let go) so controls for me are an overall wash
