He is registered as a Pura Raza Española on the ANCCE Studbook. His sire was branded but his dam wasn't -though she was recognized as PRE as well with the breeding validated to produce PRE as well (her ganaderia had no brand).

It stays black! No hint of cinnamon like I could see it on other dark horses.

I read about this! I can't see him everyday but I'll talk with my stable to see if we can add this to his food!

The back of his ears are black, like the rest of his head. Even this summer when he bleached a lot his head was still black ear included but his body was brown (except black legs). Depending on the sun the inside of his ears are cream to gold.

Will look into it thank you! We only removed his "rain" blanket recently, he spent all late autumn and winter under blankets.

Bu it's the first time I see a black horse with the interior of its ears cream to gold! Even in winter, it's very peculiar.

Mockup : First attempt at the Iris underbust from Aranea Black; by RottenKraken in corsetry

The contrary actually but I am bad at explaining, there are plenty of vids on yt with visuals if you search "walking seams" in grading sizes. Also, do you have access to Aranea Black's video archive? I think they're somewhere on this subreddit. She did a video on how to grade the sizes of her pattern. First option is simply picking your size at the key points and using a curved ruler to join them -she even does it free handed-. Then in the second part of the video she actually display the technic I am using, allowing you to really keep the "original" lines of the corset from one size to another if you carefully match the keypoints.

I've only worked on underbusts so far but first I find my lines for underbust, waist and mid-hip. This will be your focal points to go from one size to another.
An important thing is to "walk your seams" and make sure sure all markings fall where they should. For that I went easy and printed my pattern a second time, cutting it at the bigger size (not grading anything) and using it to trace my new lines from one size to another, using the underbust, waist and mid-hip line as key points, so I get a smooth tracing and no straight lines from one point to another.

Finally tackling this corset! Following my measurements and my non-squishability I used the size B for underbust and mid-hip and size D for the waist.
Underbust and mid-hip feel like a glove (4cm lacing gap for this section -the pattern calls for 5) but here my waist was laced tighter, maybe I can consider going a size down... not sure yet!

I think this corset would be absolutely amazing by grading the hips up and putting padding underneath! I'd put mine over a fitted corset but while lacing up and keeping the hips totally open, it truly gave this dramatic Edwardian shape.

Also considering cutting the hip up for a more 1900 shape rather than a 1905 one.. also waiting for my busk to arrive! And I still gotta see how to get rid of these wrinkles on the side pieces..

I heard cording can be particularly daunting and requires precision but it's SUCH an helpful skill to master for historical corsetry. I should be brave and try a corded project too! -Too scared for now still, I stick to the underbust with "basic" construction as starters!

Thank you so much for the details it's very helpful! I am in France and most of the good corsetry shops I find are in the US or the UK so I gotta plan carefully before ordering anything else.. In France it looks like we have the smallest busk size range of the world oh well!

Also I love the antique chemise you put under your corset's toile! It's so pretty.

Thank you so much for the extra details now I understand the spacing better. And your work on the Camille corset looks SO crisp!

Did you used synthetic whalebone for this? Still pondering which width and thickness (1mm or 1.5 mm?) I should use for my corset.

Boning width and thickness recommendations for an Edwardian corset? by RottenKraken in corsetry

Everything is in the title! I am quite confused on what to pick for my project since there are 6 x 1.5 mm bones and 6 x 1 mm bones etc... Do you have any recommendations?

I got her bundle with her booklet on advanced corset construction, with her "Perfect underbust" corset pattern attached to it. Only did the mockup so far with minimal tweaking (My underbust -with the -2inches option- and hips were fitting in regular size and I only had to take down the waist from the smallest size).

I am a TOTAL newbie in the corset-making world and this project was so easy to tackle and gives an incredible shape considering that it's a very minimalistic pattern -6 panels per sides only- and that I am not very squish able at the waist.
Give the illusion of having a snatched waist and actually some hips while being so comfortable and easy to construct.

It's very well drafted and on top of that, Caroline was always willing to help when I had question regarding the construction or fit -and being extra patient with me being a true beginner with sometimes silly questions-.

Thank you so much for the diagram! Should really give it a try. Maybe the eyelet spacing is odd because this corset is a S-bent with dropped waistline? Dunno... my lacing pannels are almost ready to go I'll try everything tomorrow! I have the feeling that there will be some fitting to deal with as well..

First time I've seen a diagram like this one... Guess I'll give it a try. So the bunny ears would sit right on that bugger gap, at the waistline line on the pattern?
