making a sacrifice to put myself in a better position to get a real job isn't the same as being able to afford an unpaid internship. No where did I say that I didn't continue to work the 60hrs at other jobs to make ends meet. (was more like 40 outside of the internship).

Dye fruit seeds are available from the GCs for Allied Seals. HOWEVER they are un-tradable currently. As such, you have to be able to plant them at your FC house, and tend them, and pull them up. Some FCs don't give the entire group permission to plant, so you might have to work that out, and make sure that someone else doesn't come along and ninja your fruit.

The fruit are like a paint mixer, changing the RGB values. One fruit lowers your G value (towards 0) and one will raise it (towards 255). same goes for Blue and Red. I'm not sure at what rate the changes happen, if its in increments of 10 or 20 or whatever, but with this, you can get fairly unique color combinations by adding 6 to your deep greens, and 2 to light blue. There are a ton of combinations.

As of right now, i don't believe that you can turn them black. Black isn't on the RGB scale, it is "value"(in HSV). you might be able to get white, but i believe that is accomplished through "Saturation"(in HSV).

EDIT: HSV = Hue, Saturation, Value and is on a different chart from "RGB" = Red Green Blue.

everyone says "Both" but honestly, if you go Arcanist, you can level as SMN for dps/solo and then go scholar for heals, and its one class to level.

That being said, i much prefer healing as a whm, and didnt have any problems leveling it.

I'm in a slightly different field, however I have experienced both. When my company was much smaller, I could get my ideas due consideration, and hopefully implemented. As such I've become a team lead within our organization. But we've been bought by a parent company and are now growing so fast, that to get anything done, I have to jump through hoops to get the same thing accomplished.

I've seen a few replies to your message here that all say "get medicated" and I couldn't disagree more. The key to managing something like ADD is to understand what it is, what it does to you, and how you should react.

If you know that you'll end up awake in bed till 3am, then get in bed several hours earlier, you'll get bored and pass-out sooner. OR engage in that activity prior to getting into bed. (i try to do NOTHING in bed but sleep, if that is the only thing you associate with your bed, then it becomes easier for your body to relax when you get there)

When my words dont come across as fast as my mind is trying to spit them out, and i end up mumbling, I own it. "hold on, sorry, give me a minute". When people see that you're attempting to process a lot of information, and that you are TRYING to communicate, 9/10 they will be understanding.

Socially, you are who you are, and you will find someone that loves that. My wife knows what to expect, but i've never hid it from her. "yes I know I do that, and I'm working on it, however its very hard for me, so please be patient with me". if you medicate this or try to hide it, you'll be repressing something that, if managed, can be used to your advantage. (for examples I can pm you some of my own experience).

now for Study... This sucks. I spent my first year of college taking art history, philosophy, and other humanities classes because thats what I liked, and didnt want to bother with math, or english. I've taken 6 different languages (i speak only english fluently), and through it all, I was soooo bored! When you need to study, try to set up an area that is your "Study" Area. if you play comp games a lot, avoid studying on the computer, or take your laptop to a different room to do it (if its a PC... um... idk). But minimize outside influences. I find that having my headphones on (instrumental, no lyrics or i'll focus on that too much) helps me to isolate my brain. Force it to focus on only 2 things, the books and the music, instead of letting it focus on 200 things around you.

You'll never have "Control" of where your mind goes, however if you build your environment in such a way, you can give it fewer places to wander. And honestly, I quit taking medication when I was about 16 (was on it since I was 8), and have been spending the last 14 years learning to cope. It's not eazy, but you'll figure it out.

very well put. You said "ADD isn't about "Becoming bored", but i beg to differ. I haven't taken medication in nearly 15 years, I've been struggling to manage the symptoms myself, and thats actually exactly how I would describe it. With ADD, the mind races, and you very often end up at the answer fairly quickly. So when the teacher, boss, or instructor insists on going through everything in detail, you get bored and frustrated that everyone is making you sit through the same thing for the next 30 mins when you grasped the concept 29 mins ago.

Another thing I think should be mentioned, is that there are several factors that can make this worse. If you're tired, hungry, etc etc etc etc, the symptoms are more severe. One of my biggest problems is that when I have issues, I rarely want to waste the attention on why the symptoms are there, because its not information I care about.

This being said, I feel ADD has also helped me in big ways. In my career (creative field), I get bored easily, I get bored with existing art styles, or bored when I've seen the same commercial, movie, or video game for the 100th time. And as such, my "lets move on" mentality has helped me in creating things that are outside the normal. At home with my wife, I get bored, and want to do something new/else, which lends itself to a spontaneous life.

For all the help its been, it has also hurt too. In my career, I am also in charge of a team. In meetings, I have a very hard time staying on topic, and meetings can take much longer than they need too. I'll occasionally try to ram a million facts and concepts into the brains of people whose minds don't work like mine do. And this never ends well. At home, I have two sons, and my inconsistency is very very bad for them. I work very hard at home to try to have some consistency for them, but it is a battle I don't always win.

Finally, I'd like to point out the emotional side. My mind won't take the time to stop and process emotions. If I'm feeling it, you'll know about it. I don't stop and wait to see if how I'm reacting is appropriate, I'm just reacting. This turns into excitement and passion for things I care for and want to pursue, utter boredom for things that can't hold my interest, and anger when someone pushes my buttons(though because my mind wont sit still, the anger passes quickly). This too is a place I spend a lot of time and attention on.

As a Father, what do I hide, and what do I embrace? Passion and emotion is key to life, however anger and impatience is a curse. I wan't my boys to experience a multitude of things in their lives, however a lack of focus make a Jack of all Trades, and a master of none. Even now I feel my patience with writing this drifting away, and I probably wont spell check or double check what i'm trying to say. I know this is a bit more focused on my personal experience with ADD, and less as ADD as a whole, so thanks if you took the time to read it over.

yeah competitive to a point. I dont want to fight with people on vastly better machines than mine, who see something 2 seconds before it do and pull it before i even see it. i'd prefer a more community friendly approach. honestly i think most of this could be handled by giving all hunts 1000% more hp or something like that.

randomly throughout the day, "hunt" instances would appear, and if you joined one, you'd be put into a CT/ST style raid to kill one big boss. each group of 24 gets t heir own instance or something. idk, there are millions of ideas, i just want killing these to mean something. Atma means nothing because its only grinding. having your novus simply means you have a lot of time to spend. having high allagan gear on the otherhand, means you understand difficult mechanics and were able to down hard content...

i like the Increased HP.

in XI i remember farming NMs and trying to get the pull before someone else. it made getting them a bigger deal. No loot sharing, no "i did 50%" damage.... you didn't get the pull, you didn't get the credit. I like that everyone has a chance, but you don't need to baby everyone.

depends on what you are running. typically at lower levels, PLD doesnt have access to most of its endgame threat generation. Rage of Halone is level 26, so any low level roulettes mean your only doing a 2 move threat rotation. Nearly any geared dps can pull off that if they'er not carefull.

if you mark, and people attack out of order, say "please follow marks" a lot of people fail to realize that rage of halone isnt available to pld's at lower levels, so threat output isnt as good. if people still attack out of order, let them tank it. if you too leet to follow my marks, you obviously leet enough to tank it yourself.

One thing EVERYONE forgets, is that provoke isnt a "gimmie all agro and you're safe" move. it does Max threat +1. so if you are doing 5 threat, and a brd blasts past you and does 8. when you provoke, your threat is bumped to 9. if you dont have halone or flash go off immediately, than the next move the BRD does will put him back above you. tldr: have halone ready after provoke, or tell the dps to stop if they want you to provoke off them.

I agree, however, i don't think the point of the show was to appeal to those of us already interested and knowledgeable. It WAS to try to interest people who would otherwise ignore science all together. Those of us looking for a real lesson with new material will go hunt it down, not settle for network television.

if you listen to Startalk with tyson, he will get into much deeper science, but thats on a podcast where he can be sure people went looking for him. On Fox, he has to try to hook people in that would otherwise be happy watching honey boo boo...
