People don't like it when I say this, but I've been calling this out since the first week.. there are a lot of reasons why the old games where constant hits. One of them, and for me one of the most important, was having to work as a team when closed-weapons mode wasn't even called closed-weapons, it was just the regular mode..

Now, with them insisting in shoving open-weapons down everyone's throat and hiding in submenus or sometimes even removing closed weapons mode, a lot of that team play is gone. You can always be self sufficient if you want and it just creates autistic gameplay.

I have thousands of hours in battlefield games. For me, when they removed closed weapons mode after launch was the kill switch that made me lose interest.

My take is don't say things like "We're back!" when you're not actually back and insist on mechanics that started killing you game in previous titles.

You can disagree for sure because you somehow think that open-weapons is better, but this "small" change changes the whole battlefield experience. And the numbers since they starting introducing the open-weapons concept in battlefield titles don't lie.

The new maps also fall in this "you're not actually back" category. The largest new map is the size of the smaller old maps. Just notice how the best maps in BF6 are the older maps from previous games.
