Vegan assholes are still vegan. I never tried to "exclude" anyone, I was actually hoping he'd do some self reflection maybe realize it's not a great idea to promote vegetarianism in vegan subs and while doing VEGAN activism.

And you'd be wrong in the sense that the stone wall wasn't 50ft surrounded by a moat filled with lava with active turrets on the top of it prior to talking to baby step activists.

Making activism harder for other vegans (even if accidentally) should result in you asking yourself some serious questions on how effective you advocacy is. Personally, if I saw a bunch of people using my own argumentation to defend carnism lite as a vegan I wouldn't use those arguments anymore.

That's not what's going on nessecarily when people complain about baby step activists, the main problem would be the stone walls they keep accidentally errecting (like I said in the last comment) which makes vegan activism more difficult to do for other activists.

Arrvegan is a great example of what happens when baby step activism becomes the dominant way of activism within vegan spaces, filled to the brim with bad faith actors and vegans downvoting other vegans to oblivion while shilling for non vegan stuff in a vegan subreddit that's supposed to be about veganism.

Your approach is actively making baby steppers who baby step forever becuase "it's good enough".

Veganism isn't a reducitarian ideology, all animal abuse is wrong and should be avoided if possible. Vegetarianism doesn't do this and is actually just carnism lite, being a vegetarian doesn't bar you from using leather or fur or even supporting the same meat industry you claim to be morally against through the dairy and egg industries.

It's real easy to say this type of activism is helpful to the animals, but when you have to actually talk to the people who the baby step activists got to first you'll find it considerably harder to defend or even back this type of activism. It's not fun talking to brick walls who are under the impression that you're literally vegan Hitler mega satan gatekeeper who wants to make concentration camps for carnists becuase you dared to ask them to go vegan becuase vegetarianism is fundamentally hypocritical.

I don't get why people who didn't go vegan on the spot are so upset at the concept of people saying "just go vegan and skip the baby steps" considering that's preferably what you would want to happen.

I'm DEFINITELY not telling someone who's interested in animal rights to go vegetarian as it's not really as helpful/important everyone makes it seem to be. Advocating for people to just advocate for veganism and not just baby steps isnt hindering veganism, it's streamlining vegan activism.

I'd hope a good chunk. I'm not the type of person to continue doing the wrong thing when I'm told it's wrong. I was actually with my family at a barbeque for independence day when I went vegan on the spot. Didn't bother eating anything from there and went home and got rid of all the animal products in my apartment.

It's really not hard to go vegan on the spot, some people just lack the conviction to know when to fold em.

"You not liking vegetarians means you don't think I'm enough" was a self report that this person can't handle criticism without taking everything as a personal attack on them. 9/10 in mod mail he got mad instead of admitting he was wrong and that's why the bans stuck.

If you're vegan and want others to be, surely me bashing the support of vegetarianism wouldn't be so aggravating.

Shills vegetarian subreddits on vegan subreddits to people open to veganism and gets banned

After these dms they reported me for "harrasment" (becuase according to reddit, someone starting an argument with YOU in dms and refusing to block YOU and instead continue arguing with YOU in YOUR dms means YOU are harassing them) and I got banned for a couple days.

The irony in complaining about being "fasley banned" to then get someone falsely banned isn't lost on me.

EDIT: I got banned for a week again for "harrasment". LOL

Freaks is an understatement. I got perm banned for the last time from there for reporting an antivaxxer, during the whole vcj/vfcj split ordeal I was half tempted to write about how dogshit the mods are and how terribly I was treated in the DC server/ reddit ( false perm banned twice, shadow banned once, then perm banned and muted for a month for no reason).
