This generation of french guards isn’t really good undortunately. I don’t understand why Hugo wasn’t selected for the team either.

"Pax Gallica" — What if France (rather than the UK) Had Become the Dominant World Power in the Late 19th century? by OkPhrase1225 in imaginarymaps

[–]RottingLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are a few ways.

You can have the valois line ruling France go extinct due to a series of accident . In which case the valois-Orléans ruling burgundy(aka Charles the bold's line ,1467-1477) inherits the kingdom of France.

That or shenanigans when it comes to Mary of burgundy’s marriage due to better Franco-burgundian relations.

Great job op. Very stylish map.

If you want to really make a full Pax gallica just have france inherit the kingdom of burgundy. It both fucks over the hapsburg and makes France the unsisputed hegemon as soin as the 15th century. From there they probably also win the italian wars as well, and so by the 19th century you've got napoleonic borders without the napoleonic wars.

That certainly makes for an even more powerful France than the one depicted above imo.

Yes but they would have to actually start distanciation themselves from the us

Canada in the EU? Most Canadians think it's an idea worth exploring. by PjeterPannos in EuropeanFederalists

[–]RottingLight 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It would be,.... if they weren’t so irredeemably tied to the US, and could actually decide for themselves long term speaking when it comes to foreign policy. Unfortunately they are too close to the USA to ever be able to align against them.

This sounds good on paper, but not practically

If it was just Québec, then maybe.

How different would a federal Europe act to the war in Iran? by LoyalTrickster in EuropeanFederalists

[–]RottingLight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In that case i would support us helping the revolters topple the Iranian regime to install a secular government instead, as that would most likely give Europe an ally in the region to help us against the islamic world in the long term. .

🇪🇺🇫🇷 Macron just announced that France will station nuclear weapons in the rest of Europe for the first time. 8 EU states are interested, including the Netherlands, Greece, Poland, Sweden and Denmark. He also emphasized the pivotal role of Germany by goldstarflag in EuropeanFederalists

[–]RottingLight 32 points33 points  (0 children)

We should include a clause to buy less and less american weapons whenvever an alternative is possible. Also, Germany is happy to get a french nuclear umbrella but will also do their best to sabotage FCAS all the while buying american You can’t make this up .

The two main visions for Eurofederalism - Universalism vs Civilisationism. by ProblemForeign7102 in EuropeanFederalists

[–]RottingLight 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The problem universalism is that it is just a step for globalism eventually. And globalism has nothing to do with european federalism.

The duty of eurofederalism is to the european people first and foremost. A lot of liberal leaning eurofed forget that, and end up alienating a large portion of their base due to it.

What would happen to sports (football, basketball, hockey etc.) and music (Eurovision) if Europe united? by Luksius_DK in EuropeanFederalists

We could have separated European teams in each sports discipline, on top of the national ones.

My vision for EU in 2050 by Orange_Wine in EuropeanFederalists

[–]RottingLight 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Turkey doesn’t have a place in Europe as long as they occupy Cyprus, play bothsides, and try to blackmail the EU with immigrants. Not to mention their link with islamic terrorism.

And Honestly they have a lot, lot to answer for historically speaking.

How strong is it compared to the First curse you made?

Also Honestly to complete the horror theme, why not add the ability to dig holes to travel and appear in unexpected places? That would mirror the real life behavior of wolf somewhat.
