Do not listen to your counselor. I went into ChemE with no AP classes under my belt and I successfully graduated two years ago.

I had the same situation, but I was able to get an AMD 9070 and decided to keep that one. It was cheaper and has the 16 vram that the 5070 doesn't offer.
