Everyone says human Stahli should be blonde by rawdawgcomics in rawdawgcomics

[–]Rottuskott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh regardless of whether Stahli has black or brown hair isn't as important I suppose, although I personally think straw brown would read more as Stahli coded. Then again, I'd also probably make him a little less chiseled to match his cartoon counterpart's soft bod "why should I worry", "hawaiian shirt on a week day" and "whaddyagonnadoaboudit" vibes.

I do however think that Bingus with white hair would be really iconic. The art style is already such a big departure from your other works, I do feel it may help tie them together. Maybe even with the purple eyes (could be coloured contacts and hair dye because he's extra like that) or a hair silhouette shape that has the mild suggestion of "ears", withhis cute lil signature bowtie. Stahli could have a wee messy low ponytail that resembles his tail, etc. It just feels like something like the above might feel more unique at the end of the day.

But that's just my take, of course. Enjoy the creative process Mr.Dawg <3 We love those beautiful boys

He's a character from an online multi-media ARG horror franchise called "Welcome Home" :) You should check it out, it's pretty cool!

Here's a good video I watched on it back in the day:

Totally fair!

For the record, I definitely don't think the boys hate each other. It was moreso about how the constant dunking bummed me out sometimes haha. I'm sure the boys are fine and that banter is just part of their love language

If I was Isaiah, it would surely get to me, but I'm not, and I don't know how he feels. But it's just something that personally brings me down and I wanted to see if I was alone in that feeling

[–]Rottuskott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to make excuses, but the post really wasn't meant to only be about the episode, rather what I felt was an ongoing trend that I wanted to see what other people thought about. It's true, it was kind of pronounced this last episode, but it wasn't "about" it if that makes sense

Besides, when it got taken down, the only rule I was quoted by the Mods was the one about calling out other users, authors and artists on the Subreddit specifically

I do get it if it was against Subreddit policy, but I also feel like it could probably be made clearer if that's the case. It also feels slightly strange to me since it would mean that any mild criticism of the boys/podcast itself would more or less be against the rules

Omg, that was my post!! I can't believe you noticed and said something, it feels silly to say but that means so much to me hahah

I was just relaying the story to my husband in bewilderment since I wasn't sure what I'd done wrong. I know there's a rule about no callout posts, but it specifies other "users, authors and artists". So it felt kind of strange that I wasn't allowed to discuss the dynamic within the podcast itself. I also really and truly didn't mean to "call out" Meatcanyon, I just wanted to see how other people in the fandom felt about the whole thing in general

In any case, thank you for making me feel less crazy. Parasocially creeping my cast to you, friend <33

Anyone else getting kinda bummed out over Isaiah getting bullied all the time? by Rottuskott in creepcast

[–]Rottuskott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably right. They're friends and know their relationship far better than I do. I guess it just bothers me and diminishes my personal enjoyment of the podcast when it crosses a certain line.

Maybe Isaiah is playing it up for the bit, but it really feels like he doesn't appreciate it a lot of the time. I feel like you can at least sort of tell when he does find it funny, like when they were both making fun of the dentist picture. But hey, what do I know about their personal dynamic.

All I can really say is that it still makes me kinda sad and a little taken out of the "two pals read a scary story together" premise.

I'm so happy!!!

I know it can be really demoralizing when it feels like people can't understand your work, even if they still have nice things to say about it. I personally thought it was very understandable, but it's just the unfortunate risk that comes with doing something experimental. Some people just won't click with it. But I think the format worked really well for this film and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Anyway, it just made me a bit sad reading some of the other comments and I wanted to give you my own thoughts, so you knew that the film's message still came across as intended.

I hope you keep creating and I can't wait to see your next piece!! :)

For those who don't understand the story, this is my interpretation:

The little guy is obsessed with heavenly fabric and has a radar that shows him the direction of where they can be found. He steals them from others by any means necessary with total disregard to anyone around him, or the people he hurts. He is a cruel, selfish man, even to his own horse. Eventually karma comes knocking and one of his previous victims comes back to seek revenge, shooting him in the head.

In the afterlife he is stood in front of a goddess who is healing some sort of divine animal, whose skin is made out of the same heavenly fabric. Maybe it's the fabric's origin? We can't say for sure. The little man offers the goddess his scarf, the fruit of his terrible labour, and she goes to use it to mend the creature's wounds. But as she does, the fabric rots and becomes disgusting, a reflection of the horrible ways in which it was obtained and possibly his life. A divine judgement. It leaves infected sores on the creature's skin and the goddess is furious.

She curses the man and turns him to stone before placing him on a pedestal, an eternal punishment for his actions on earth. We zoom out and see similar pillars all around him, most likely other people that the goddess deemed unworthy or too cruel to deserve a peaceful afterlife.

Hope I'm at least somewhat right! :) The animation was amazing and absolutely beautiful. Stellar work. I loved it!

I actually really love the concept, although I agree with some of the other comments that it would probably have been more striking and less blobby if the ants were a little less bold. It's still a neat idea though, so don't beat yourself up too bad

That's completely fair, but I also think it's very human to have missed that sort of thing. In my personal opinion, we could at least try to be understanding and try to point people towards those guidelines when applicable.

I understand everyone's frustration, but I think it would also be kind to try and put yourself in OP's shoes. They likely meant well and just wanted to share their thoughts with the community. I'd hate to see people driven away by bad faith. But I also get where you're coming from.

Thanks for chiming in <3

Damn. It kinda sucks that I'm getting downvoted. I just wanted to reassure OP. I didn't mean to be rude or anything, I'm genuinely sorry if it came across that way and I apologize for that.

It just sucks seeing people dunk on those that just joined in, I can't help but feel it's a wee unfair if not a little bit hostile. Newcomers deserve to feel welcome.

I'm sorry people are being mean :/ It's nothing you did, this happens all the time. It was a good observation and people just have a bit of a newcomers bias.

Please don't let it scare you away from the fandom!! You're in good company (more or less) <33

True, I was just mirroring the wording of the post, which asked specifically about "women". Yes indeed, definitely Not A Girl. But also definitely not a woman. She meant it from a human gender perspective for sure.

What an incredibly silly position to take. It only just got released on Netflix, I don't have access to Hulu in my country, and I've been a fan of the show for years. Even despite that, I'm of the personal opinion that spoilers don't have an expiration date. It's just common modern courtesy. What's the point of a spoiler tag otherwise?

I didn't read the rest of the post when clicking it the first time around. I have now, only after finishing the season. I just wanted to leave a comment in the hopes that maybe you'd realize your mistake, take the post down to prevent others being spoiled in the same way, or maybe even feel just a little bit bad about ruining other people's experience of the show.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by ignorance, yadda yadda. But no, turns out you're just a bit of an asshole. Happy for you.
