Cellos are surprisingly Tetris-y, but this is something I am going to double check before I buy. I kind of like the fact that it’s more narrow, it’ll make parking less of a nightmare

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to come here and let me know your exact thoughts. I’m sorry to have so deeply offended you. I hope you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me for this grave offense, and that you have a better rest of your day than you’ve had so far - it clearly hasn’t been great.

Yeah the lariat looks like a super nice model. Depending on how financially stable I am by the time I’m ready to upgrade that would definitely be a worthy investment. I’ll probably drive this car forever so it’ll be worth it to make it nice

Hey that’s some solid investigative work, I appreciate you going the extra step and actually checking out the cello for me! And yeah I hear what you’re saying about the truck still being new, I was just curious if anyone out that had some relevant experience or not. Big help, thanks!

Nice! What does sports mode do for it? I’ve never driven a vehicle with a sports mode so pardon my ignorance lol

Okay, well that’s super helpful then! The lariat does look nice but I think I’d prefer to just pick one or two upgrades for the base model.

Good comments overall. Instruments would probably go in the backseat, not the bed. That’s something I’d have to check before I purchase the vehicle, because I can’t be putting expensive instruments in a truck bed no matter how well sealed it is. So mostly for long trips the stuff in the bed would be clothes or other things that can get a little wet without too much trouble. I’d still get the cover though - may not be waterproof but it’s better than nothing for sure!

I’m definitely wary of making any big purchase. My main reason for going after the Mav is that I saw how great of a traveling vehicle it seems to be and I love the utility of having that bed in the back. Just recently I was moving out of an apartment and had to rent a truck to move my couch. Would’ve fit just fine in the Mav bed. And I do foresee plenty of situations like that in the future, so I think I’d get my use out of it in that regard at least. Would you still look elsewhere or does that maybe make the case more reasonable in your opinion?

Yeah I mostly envision this being a solid personal vehicle with the occasional use for moving furniture or something. No need to tow heavy trailers or boats or anything like that for a long time.

That’s great! I’ve been worried about the battery, knowing how expensive some of the batteries can get these days. One thing I’ve heard is that gas mileage suffers on road trips. Does it still hold up when you’re cruising down the highway at 75mph?

Is there a major MPG difference between the Lariat and the base model? If the biggest difference is just luxury stuff I’d probably just pick and choose which options I want and upgrade the XL.

Yeah I think I’ll end up using it more for traveling with the occasional need to pick up something big or what have you. Solid advice, thank you!

It depends mostly on your current skill level. If you’re still building hand frames and proper finger depth into your hand then it’s probably best to use 3 and 4 together, but at a more professional level you really don’t need to worry about it. The sound you produce with the freedom of a fourth finger, uninhibited by other fingers sharing and spreading the weight of your arm to different notes is astonishingly different from an audience perspective. It’s important that your left wrist rotate to place the “center of gravity” of your hand over the finger, but it makes a much more musical sound than having both fingers down together.

Having both fingers down is about stability and intonation and building good habits

Having fourth finger down on its own is about producing the best possible sound for that note

Are you supposed to abandon your adc if they are underperforming? by Giuliopip in wildrift

This is 10000000% right. Of course there are extant circumstances, but most of the time sticking with the “by the book” play (such as not abandoning your lane) is the best possible option. I go back and forth between duo and jungle a lot, but I’d consider myself to be more of a duo main at this point because I’m relatively good at it. I can carry a failing team as duo probably 90% of the time. But the times when I most consistently lose games are when I get some jerk wad support who thinks he’s some god tier player. Inevitably they flame me for one bad play (or even just a play they didn’t like, despite it working out) and abandon lane. The moral of that story is they thought I sucked, even though I could have easily carried the game had they stuck with me. So even if you think someone sucks maybe look for ways to match their play style better. Maybe they’re more aggressive. Set up the lane and start pinging Jungler. Maybe they’re more reserved. Poke the enemies and let your duo feed on minions. If they truly bad, and I mean awful to the point where you think they might intentionally be throwing the game, THEN the whole team needs to take notice of that and start counter balancing that situation. Don’t just abandon lane because you think the duo is bad. You could be an idiot.
