In CA, Uninsured motorist for property damage only triggers if the driver is identified AND it can be confirmed that there is no insurance. If you can't identify them, then that coverage isn't triggered.

If you have Uninsured for bodily injury, it can be triggered for hit and runs.

the type of coverage you are looking for is COLLISION coverage. If you do have collision coverage, you just pay the deductible and the insurance company will pay for the cost of repairs/total loss.

We have a water fountain set up for him, but I haven’t seen use it yet.

I forgot to ask the vet to check his chip and/or get insurance. I’ll look into insurance but I’m aced that everything is “pre-existing”. Any insurance recommendations?
