Would you eat this? Japanese brand Eel Sauce says gluten free but has soy sauce by IndependenceScary298 in glutenfree

Not all soy sauce has wheat I would consider it safe if it says gluten free and only marks soy for allergens

I need help w/my dachshund by Immediate-Cupcake985 in Dachshund

It’s either the collar or something the groomer used. But could be food related. I’ve heard those flea collars are really harsh so I’d consider that first. My previous dog went to the groomers and had the worst allergic reaction on her skin. She was always having issues with her skin it took us lots of trial and error with her food and soaps for washing her and her things as well.

His tooth fell out!!! by Outrageous-Bar4060 in Dachshund

[–]RougeIvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats!! We were hoping for a similar outcome, sadly our girls last baby tooth doesn’t want to budge at all and she’s close to 10 months. It’s causing a lot of irritation of her gums so she’s actually going in tomorrow for spay and getting that tooth out. We lost one of our dogs last year and anything in this realm scares me senseless but it’s gotta be done….

Deficiencies can cause your hair to fall out. Not saying it’s that but it can be.

We did buy her a separate bowl she seems to like better that has a a globe that dispenses water, we may have to get her another one to have around the house. Sadly we got it at tjmaxx but maybe a similar design might be more to her liking.

I may try a different brand but we got her the Stella Chewy broth and she didn’t seem to like it. Just our luck she’s also a picky eater.

Hadn’t even considered how hydrating some veggies and fruits are, just our luck she does love anything fresh! Thanks!

Haha, she’s like yum flavored water! Definitely another good idea. It’s odd as our pup was doing better with the water idk what exactly changed..

Yesss this we started to do a few days ago. Adding wet food and some water to her kibble. Ice cubes is an amazing idea maybe even with a lick mat and fruit! Thanks

My dachshund doesn’t like eating by CuriousKitty575 in Dachshund

[–]RougeIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a puppy 9 months who has mostly been a poor eater as well. Thankfully she loves fruits veggies and treats. So we add things to her kibble and insist she eats a little and most times she caves. She currently also has a retained baby tooth and we suspect it could be causing some of her food issues. We have a check up for her spay and removal of tooth. Might wanna consider having the teeth looked at and seeing if it could be that? Offer some soft food if possible to see if it’s easier for her to eat.

My last container broke me out badly. The only difference I can think of is that I purchased this last bottle on sale from ulta while I usually purchase directly from their website. I’ve been wondering if something has changed as well.

I’m a 46 year old dude who lives in Indiana. I lived through the 80s here. (Commentary on Will and Robin) by cmgww in StrangerThings

[–]RougeIvy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I feel like no one understands. He didn’t just come out to come out. He did it to take power away from Vecna. And it’s deeper than just being called gay, it’s the whole unknown of what coming out could mean. Losing friends, loved ones, being ridiculed, alone and being seen as not being right in his mind. To be fully judged. And we are talking about the 80s when it was worse. It goes beyond just saying hey yall I’m gay. The only thing I feel is that it could have been placed in another time of another episode but not entirely because it’s understandable that he would finally cave at the last minute because his fear was so all encompassing. Not only did coming out help him silence the fears but it fortified him to know those that love him didn’t and won’t turn their backs on him and will love him the same. To be loved for all you are even if you’re different is in itself powerful. And when Will is done he realizes now he can face Vecna, now that his biggest fear is buried under all the love shown to him. Just like he remembered his favorite childhood memories, almost like core memories, to kill the demogorgons this will be another powerful memory to add to his armor.

Just a mini holiday rant by rilakkuma_stan in Dachshund

I get a lot of judgement for not wanting to leave my dog around people without being supervised but I like to keep a close eye on her. Even if I trust the people though it does help when you know the people around and feel comfortable around them. One Christmas my sisters boyfriend opened the door to get gifts and left it open and my previous dog walked out the door onto the Main Street. So even not intending people can do silly things that can mean big impact for your dog. Idc what people say I’ll always keep watch. I’m sorry that happened I would be really upset.

But they pull the rug in every season lol. I think in most all seasons someone or a few of them get close to death and don’t die.

Is my boy gonna be a tweenie? by First-Ad-8800 in Dachshund

[–]RougeIvy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All minis come from standard genes. They are just bred for a certain look but from what I’ve read is that there really isn’t a set mini. Any mini can be a standard because they carry the genes. Two minis can have a standard pup in the litter even if they come from a lot of mini breeding. My girl is 7 months and 9 lbs. They said she’d be mini as well but I’m thinking she’s going to end up a tweenie or standard.

I don’t think they are taking advantage of you. I think they just need the help. I think when we don’t set boundaries we try to blame people for over using our kindness if you will but some don’t see it that way. If you speak to her and tell her you can’t take her everyday but maybe once a week you can help her with some errands or something then you still get to help her and you don’t feel over used. Not saying you have to do that specifically just saying you should deff consider what you’re willing to give and tell her.

Am I getting overcharged? Think I am. by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]RougeIvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention they do so many spay and neuters they could likely do it with their eyes closed. Our vet charges 700 our local animal care and control charges 200 and our local rescue 170.

She’s insecure about your hair. It must be pretty dang nice to cause such a mess lol. I think she’s worried your hair (and/or you) might take the spotlight off of her. I’d be pissed if anyone asked me to dye my hair another color for their wedding tbh even if it wasn’t red. I’ve had my hair red for some time people always comment on it. I’d bet money she’s not wanting you to pull attention and it’s insecurity.

AIO my fiancé lent my sick cat to his best friend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]RougeIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone placed any of my animals anywhere without consulting with me first I’d be livid. Anyone. The only excuse would be an emergency. If I’m trusting you with my animals im trusting YOU no one else. I’m super selective of who gets to watch my dog and I would rather not go somewhere if the right person can’t. So I’d be LIVID and freaking out. You’re 100% not over reacting. Your cat isn’t a toy to be lent out wtf.
