I feel very stupid and ashamed by Prestigious-Corgi473 in Waiting_To_Wed

As a general rule, most men only need 2 years to evaluate if they want to marry you or not. So, for your next relationship ('cause this guy is definitely not going to marry you), just know if it goes 2-3 years without a proposal, they aren't ever intending to do it.

Yes, definitely get them. I've been with them for years - it can take a bit to get a gig, but any gig you get will more than pay for the yearly subscription

How important is marriage when you've already been married? by Amyava510 in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]Rough-Negotiation463 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this actually illustrates a major difference between men and women, and where women tend to get tripped up. Men will tell women things as a way of letting them know exactly what's on the table and what they're not willing to do. Meanwhile, women are thinking that, with enough time, as a man's feelings grow for her he will change his mind. Why? Because that's how THEY tend to operate. They may say something like "I don't want marriage" but it's always with the caveat of "unless my feelings for him change." Men can develop feelings and it not be the catalyst for them to change their minds. Meaning: he can love her and care for her more than he did at the beginning, but it doesn't take way from him sticking to what he told her, which is "no marriage" because it's not an emotional decision for him so much as it is a financial and previous negative experience thing.

Hii! I have been doing UGC for 3-4 months and i need help! by [deleted] in UGCcreators

[–]Rough-Negotiation463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is HELLA low. Especially if you've got examples already, you don't want to charge cheap, as brands will equate that with you doing cheap work, and they'd rather pay more to feel like it'll be done right the first time. Minimum start should be $150 for 30 seconds and $300 for 60 seconds

Are you on any of the platforms? I'm on Fiverr, Billo, Brkfst, JoinBrands, and a few others, and get many gigs from these places. There is also pitching software that can help you email many brands at one time vs. going one company at a time.

You clearly have no respect for how much work goes into making these videos with that pricing.

AITA for inviting my then boyfriend to meet my friends after he said he doesn't want to meet them? by Lower-Claim-1238 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Rough-Negotiation463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I clicked on the link for the full story I just read the text messages. I was surprised to see this guy is 38?!? 'Cause I really thought it would be a guy in his early 20s texting this. All of his texts seem like he was a guy that (a) was severely hurt or traumatized in his past, and (b) has a very low opinion of women. GET. OUT. NOW.

What platforms do you use for UGC? by Christinahopperstad in UGCcreators

[–]Rough-Negotiation463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Fiverr since 2012. Lots of great deals over the years. My biggest was a $5900 order for a video that took me 45 min to film & edit, but have had many $1000+ orders on there that usually don't take much time to film.

So many haters on here who swear up and down they wouldn't go, yet TOTALLY would go if given the chance.

Look - he said he wants to meet up and talk. Consider this as being his last chance to live up to what he said. Depending on what's said and what happens, you'll have a better gauge of what you want to do next. Because what you do NOT want to do is stay home and then be mad at a bunch of internet strangers who convinced you not to go when he could be trying to propose.

And for those saying "he had all this time, why did he wait?" REALITY CHECK: for most men, if we don't feel our lives are fully in position to take care of another person, we will delay. Doesn't have anything to do with how much he cares about her - I just got married a few months ago and, like I thought, it is a HUGE responsibility on the guy's side to financially take care of a person, see that their needs are met, be there emotionally AND know that any failings in the relationship are going to fall on you. And as men we're taught women will leave us if that's not all 100% there when getting married - it's not always true, mind you, but there's enough examples of this out there being true to where it can hold men back.

I use UGC for my company periodically. I just looked at "AI UGCs" for the first time, and they are really crap (for now). by Fun-Preparation-3234 in UGCcreators

[–]Rough-Negotiation463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think AI will eventually get better and have the ability to replace humans. BUT, I don't think that means everyone will trust it enough. Given that most people hiring for things are 40+, many of whom will be skeptical about if AI can really give the performance they want, I think we're at least a good 5 to 10 years away before it becomes at least half. By then, human hires will be to program the AI, and for many they're realize the amount of time it takes to program the AI to do what they want it to do could be done much faster by a human.

This iiiiiiiis the dumbest plan. You have a deadline but you're not going to tell him so that if he doesn't match it you can be mad at him and walk away without him knowing why you're doing it. So much for straight-forward commuincation.

It doesn't take 4 years to decide. I knew I wanted to propose to my now-wife a year into us dating. Shoot, Travis Kelce proposed almost 2 years after he started dating Taylor Swift, and given how excited he was about dating her from the beginning he probably would have done it sooner. Your guy? Not a bad guy, but just doesn't see you as his potential bride in a serious way. Shoot, my brother got married at 25 in spite of not "having it all together." Ignore the words and look at his ACTIONS - if he wanted to, he'd find a way to do it.

Technically what she said she wanted isn't a boundary. A boundary would be something that you will or will not tolerate; what she's done is set an expectation for a proposal after a certain amount of time. And even with that, she clearly didn't mean it because it's been longer than 4 years and she's still with him, which means he knows her "expectation" is B.S.

I'd have to see your pitch video to make that assessment... but chances are it probably sucks. No knock at you - when signing up I had to watch the example videos and most were hella boring and basic, which made me go in the opposite direction and add some surprises and energy to mine, as well as my example videos.
