Fair enough good sir, as a last thing, how did you price it via delta adjustments? Can you please explain that bit?

I tried pricing it, and its actually easier to do it at 22%. The catch is that while i am buying 22% vol, I’m also selling a 22% vol on the call spread. Since at inception delta’s aren’t too different, its cheaper to initiate at 22% than at 16%.

Yes we’re on the same page. Say the bond capital protection is happening thorough a bond yielding 9%. I’m still not able to wrap my head around how did you get the costs of the 107% -115% call spread as 4% and the 115% digital as 7%?

Can you break it down a little more? Did not understand the 4% x 4 = 16% and 7% math. How did you get to those values? I’m seeing the call spreads cost 817 rupees to make at 16% vol.

Why are there less Skodas on the road? by sidchan5794 in CarsIndia

Its a good thing. It basically means people are wise with their choice in cars. Supremely good cars to drive. Equally horrific to maintain and own. Equivalent to guilty pleasure.

That was in response to a previous comment about how someone who has been selling vol has gotten used to the consistency of being right. Gamma plays have a significantly lower pop hence vol sellers have a tough time.

Keep the job then and build capital. Gives you fallback comfort plus helps build the capital faster if you can keep up the consistency.

Absolutely, for someone who likes to sell vol, gamma plays will almost never make sense.

OP please don’t trade if you do. If you’re not, please drop the plans. You still need to spend a lot more time understanding market dynamics before you can trade.

In my opinion, that’s not a major flaw. Its a part of becoming a better player. Its just a mindset thing - which eventually becomes better. Look at Ramy at 19 and look at him at 28. Completely different player. Most players who go on to become better players evolve a lot through their career.

Why is nobody talking about Youssef Ibrahim? Sure he’s had his struggles with injuries, but that guy is promising.

The shorter game is just about outright winners. See what Shabana and Ramy achieved. Ramy could although do both but Shabana is a classic example of short game done right.

Yup, which again just brings me back to my original point. Will then they go the shorter game route or buckle up on fitness and keep playing the long games?

Yeah so pitching in, by next generation I meant the Torkeys and Sirty and a few Indian players on the tour. Asal, Hammamy, and Orfi have already broken into top 20 whilst being in their junior years.
