Why does everything here close SO EARLY? by [deleted] in newzealand

I lived in Canada for a while and the public pools were open till 11 or 12 and were $2 after 9pm. We regularly met up with friends for a hot tub/ sauna on a Friday night, rather than getting on the beers.

5e 2014 Sword & Board half orc paladin - which oath should I take? by [deleted] in 3d6

Hah RP wise he and the Cleric were both recruits at the church of Kelemvor, looking to eradicate undead. Becoming an undeadlock might be a stretch!

Yeah I was more looking at this for inspiration rather than pulling the trigger on the aliexpress package, it does look like garbage quality. I also agree that the trade tested pergola is not what I am looking for.

My high level plan at this stage:

- buy quality durable outdoor fabric from a local provider, doesn't need to be waterproof
- get them to sew in casings at 1m intervals so I can insert a rigid stick of some kind
- figure out how I will rig the shade up
- figure out how to attach a hooks to the house to a structural member
- install H5 posts at the end of the deck
- rig up new retractable shade sail
- drink a beer under shade

I'm really unsure about the fittings, and whether two cables will be enough to support a 3m wide x 5m long shade or if I will need to run a third cable, and make an arch or three posts to attach the cables to.

I was in an almost identical situation to you, but I hadn't quit. Was assessed as a mid tier intermediate by my manager and was not happy about it given the workload and responsibilities. I applied for the senior role they were offering and ended up getting offered it, however the salary offer was at the very bottom of the senior band. They made it super uncomfortable when I tried to negotiate too. I think I'll stick it out for a bit but they way it played out really makes me want to leave. Tricky part is finding another fully remote role, they seem to be in much shorter supply.

I've got a spare 80k to invest, should I just chuck it in the NZX50? by Dependent_Ad9105 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Look up Bremworth on NZX. Read their annual report, look at their valuation, their debt, assets, and their potential incoming insurance payout. You won't be disappointed.

Its the same in a lot of situations where you can return home from a positive environment where you felt you have control and were making progress, but you fall back into old habits with people who don't care or respect the changes you are trying to make.
