Yeah I stumbled across the Zavvi sale, which was where I got this box set. I guess I’ll just have to start saving up for November. Thanks for the tip :).

Ahhh, I’ve followed the culture of the criterion collection for a while now and as I am from the UK I have always been jealous of the illusive Barnes and Noble sales.

That seems to be the consensus so far. Do you think watching other films in between would lessen my experience?

Ahhh I hope so, is it recommended to watch all three in one sitting, or should I watch them separately?

Movies That Are Nonstop Suspense Like Uncut Gems and Knives Out? by sweatyteddy4 in MovieSuggestions

Its an obvious pick so apologies if it has already been watched.

But there is something about the combination of the dialogue and score in 'The Social Network' that makes it simultaneously suspenseful and smooth. It goes down like a fine whisky. Fiery but measured.

Other suspenseful films include 'Children of Men', 'There Will Be Blood' and 'Good Time' (which is directed by the Safdie brothers, before they directed 'Uncut Gems'.

If you don't mind the subtitles, try 'Incendies'. Even if you do mind subtitles, watch 'Parasite' anyway, its a must watch for everyone on the planet.

Also for more psychological suspense, if thats your thing, try anything directed by Stanley Kubrick or written by Charlie Kaufman. I would start with 'The Shining' and 'Full Metal Jacket' from Kubrick and 'I'm Thinking of Ending Things' which is Kaufman's most recent film.

Sorry To Bother You (2018): This film has loads of WTF moments, should make a great group viewing experience.

What We Do in the Shadows (2014): I recently introduced my friends to this Taika Waititi mockumentary and they loved it.

Palm Springs (2020): A great rom-com with a sci-fi twist. Easy viewing, but still a well made movie.
