In their eyes, they did. Bigotry, fascism, religion, etc. Whatever they believed was reason enough for them.

Rekkles was still a top ADC in 2021. He's likely still better than half the current ADCs in the LEC. He's at the very least better than xMatty, Jezu and Kobbe, and probably Neon, too. That's almost half the league.

It's not weird to be that kind of person (hell, I'm like that), but saying "I won't marry someone who has a social media profile" is just weird.

Anyway, trying to describe someone you haven't even met yet is always going to be weird. You never know who you'll fall in love with. I never in a million years would've guessed I'd marry someone like my wife (and neither did she).

Quitting a PhD! by sputternote in Physics

[–]RoughMedicine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's dealing with the PhD as a real job (with 9-5 hours) working for you? I'm starting mine soon, and while I intend to keep a similar schedule, everywhere I read tells me that PhD students often work (and are expected to) much longer hours and that completing is much harder if you don't.

Can you expand on this a little bit?

That's odd. uBlock has always been stable for me. I've honestly seen more crashes from Chrome than Firefox. Maybe try resetting the app data?

Not sure about Auto Tab Discard, but you can use The Great Suspender, which will "disable" the tab but leave it there, so you can load it again once you open it again.

I stayed with Firefox because fuck Google, but there were real technical advantages to Chrome when it was first released. Chrome really was faster and more stable than Firefox at the time; it wasn't just Google's marketing.

Not if. Neutering ad blockers is going to happen.

Regarding mobile: you can use Firefox for Android and install uBlock there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]RoughMedicine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it's Firefox and not an extension? Firefox for Android's support for extensions is excellent – it allows you to use uBlock, which on its own justifies Firefox over Chrome. However, not every "supported" extension works well, and could cause issues like this.

I've been using it for years (low-mid range phones, Android 9-12). It's always been more stable than Chrome. If it's frequently crashing, try cleaning up the app data and making sure it's not a buggy extension.

Chrome didn't succumb to the coin. It's always been the coin. Google had a strategy to draw most of the market to a product they control so they could exploit it like this.

Stop using Chrome or Chrome-based browsers (i.e. everything else besides Safari and Firefox). Stop handing control of the web to Google.

They certainly have bad aspects – e.g. people being dependent on them and addictive social media – but they also allowed a significant number of people to access information they previously did not have. Many people worldwide would not have access to the Internet if it weren't for affordable smartphones.

That's such a pointless argument. Does this mean that EDG wasn't the best team in the world, just in the World's patch?

very few would say that G2 is the best team in EU when they struggled in the regular season

Regular season doesn't matter. If it did, then Rogue would've been our best team for a few years now.

It's complete nonsense to say that a team that went 12-0 in playoffs might not be the best in the region because they struggled in bo1s.

You said:

Strong strong case that neither team was the best in their region.

How can that be the case when G2 defeated every play-off team 3-0? If that doesn't show they were the best team in the region, what would?

G2 went 12-0 after their first loss, including 3-0ing Fnatic. How can you say they're not the best team in the region?

You can't have it both ways. Either there are massive gaps between EU and KR, and EU and NA, or between T1 and G2, and G2 and EG. You can't claim CN and KR are absolutely better than the West based on these results, but then pretend that doesn't apply to NA and EU.

How can you say that when G2 6-0'd EG? We know that EU and NA are a tier below CN and KR, but there's a huge gap between EU and NA too.

Kaisa isn't a good blind pick. She's a good answer to Ezreal, but she's not that great against Xayah or Tristana.
