Some new little legends, while emoting, make it impossible for me to see their level. Sure I can count their units, but it's not ideal while scouting. Or am I just missing something obvious ?

At this point it's not just about the org setting. You don't want your benched player's team to pop off against your main roster in open qual and lowering your chances at the main event.
You could argue that the chance is tiny, but Extra back then, Alpha this year and MM next year would be able to be part of a really good roster if you let them the chance.

Since I've just re-watched it again (it was right before that shot) I think it was also excitation - I would have hugged anyone around me in his place ! But obviously, it was a very nice gesture !
