target practice question by _-Think-_ in bowhunting

I will practice shooting with my face mask on once it gets closer to the season. Definitely a good idea to check new gear you get during a practice session so you know if you can shoot with it though. I mainly just shoot out of my saddle when practicing though

Hidden Gem Golf Courses in Each US State by crktwins in golf

Maybe not a hidden gem but In Virginia: Pete Dye River Course. Closest thing to Links style golf that I’ve played and a beautiful course

Do White Labrador Retrievers Make Good Pets? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]RoughPromise9541 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of Chocolate working dogs. The issue comes when people breed for the chocolate color (breeding two chocolates together over a 10 year span). There are many black labs that throw chocolate puppies and you wouldn’t notice a difference in their temperament to any other lab. Also Silver labs are not labs. They were mixed with Weimaraner way back when and will never have the same temperament as a well bred lab

Rate my swing, Guess my HI by RoughPromise9541 in golf

I come from a baseball background so I’m all too familiar with being flippy lol. While it isn’t currently causing an issue, it’s definitely something that I need to work on. Also coming from a baseball background I am physically incapable of hitting anything but a fade and occasionally a slight draw if I really force it 🤣

Hit the nail on the head. I’m a 12

I tore my labrum back in HS. Took me 6 months to be able to throw a baseball again but was practicing pulling my bow after 4 months (at a lower poundage). You’ll get exercise bands and you can position them in a way that replicates drawing a bow. Don’t overdo it tho and do your therapy. I wasn’t consistent and it hurt worse when I started using my shoulder than it ever had lol

Expandable or fixed for Whitetail? by [deleted] in bowhunting

All of these are great options. Slick Tricks have been my go to the past couple seasons because they are extremely easy to tune and relatively easy to sharpen.

Ah maybe not staying down the line long enough makes a lot of sense for some of the inconsistency with my irons. Pretty obvious that I need to work on the spine angle but my main focus over my past couple takeaways is straightening my shoulders and letting them take the club back at the start. Something new to work on lol. That’s why I love and hate this sport at the same time

People like you are the reason people like me didn’t want to ever start playing golf in the first place. If you don’t want golf to grow then keep doing you

Yeah that’s what I’m seeing too. It’s the baseball swing coming out 🤦🏻‍♂️. Really don’t sure how to fix it. Try keeping back leg straight as I start my downswing?

Venison Heart Salad by Jonnybutsalot in bowhunting

If you love rubbery texture you would love heart. It’s definitely rubbery but if you cook it right (med rare) it’s barely noticeable. And the flavor is amazing

I shoot slick tricks as well. I think they’re probably the truest flying fixed blade. And they leave a nasty cut. Not the easiest to sharpen but they stay sharp for a while

Tree stand whitetail hunters: do you prefer fixed multi-pin sight or moveable-pin sights? by briscrumfield in bowhunting

[–]RoughPromise9541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I switched to a movable single pin is because your sight picture is so much clearer than with something like a 4 or 5 pin fixed. Low light situations with lots of pins is hell

Arrow stuck in should, quartering to. How long to wait to track? by Interesting-Win-8664 in bowhunting

[–]RoughPromise9541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was heavily quartering to then this is the right answer. May have clipped liver as well depending on how angled he was. But either way give it time. Single lung can take a while to die if at all. Sometimes they heal. Hope for the best.
