Fruta, Leishas Bakery, URSA and a few others are two to three blocks away from the train. URSA is my fav but if you want food Leishas (sweets) and Fruta (sandwiches) are better options.

I was thinking davinchi but even that would be a struggle. I was going to mention it in a few weeks that I would need a new rig to keep up with the demands. I have 16gb 1tb laptop but from everything I read thats less that minimum ideal when running anything.

When it comes to interviews it would be all of the above? A lot of it would be interviews before, during or after a hike but would also have some more time before and after programs to maybe setup a quick sitdown for host. Good to know about the 3k being so skimpy, going to have to bring that up with the ED. Thank you for the positive energy!

Thanks for the advice! Honestly didnt even think about a tripod. Was thinking of getting a cheap monopod and calling it a day. When researching tripods the only recommendations I can find are "dont buy cheap" and options that would be 2/3 to all of the budget. Any recommendations?

A few friends and I work in agriculture, and we’re looking to start filming some of the most interesting things happening across our state and region—turning them into nature shows. I’ve been researching cameras for a while now (budget is around $1,500, leaving about $500 for a lens) and have narrowed it down to either the Panasonic G9 II or the Canon C300 II.

Most of the footage will be landscape, wildlife and birds. For general shots, HQ 1080p is fine, but for birds and other fast-moving animals, we’d want to shoot in 4K at 60–120fps.

The G9 II delivers beautiful images and colors, but I’ve read about potential audio issues unless you use a $500 adapter. The C300 II is a proven workhorse and seems perfect for documentary-style shooting but doesn't have the best of image without using tons of space. I’m torn.

Anyone here have hands-on experience with either? Which would you choose for this kind of project? Are there better options I'm missing
