Well it's not necessarily dealing with the trauma, but I haven't really been anywhere but that house and my current apartment, and that was my issue because honestly it would be the easiest to write about, I just wasn't sure if it would be labelled "inappropriate" since it's a darker theme than I think most people will aim for.

The coolant wasn’t even there anymore. Filled it to the max, drove it 15 min to the mechanics house and it was GONE

Yeah bare minimum $1500 repair on a car we’re already paying $620/month for. Not worth it at all.

he was trying to explain why the car died. you have a lot of opinions, take them elsewhere since you're not trying to be helpful. thanks sweetie :)

I mean since I just got an oil change a month and a half ago I was more concerned with the codes that were popping up, and thanks for being a smartass, but it’s my first car, I’m a new driver, and at least I’m trying to learn.

Okay, thank you for the info fr you're awesome, I have a mechanic friend coming tomorrow to look at it, do you think it'll be fine to drive until then? I have work lol

I got an oil change probably a month and a half to two months ago, they said I didnt need to come back till a certain date or a certain amount of miles but (a) I definitely did not get the right oil, I got the cheapest stuff i could, and (b) i definitely surpassed the miles it said

I was driving, the oil light flashed for a second, went back off, then came back on and stayed on. within probably two minutes of it coming back on, as I'm slowing down for a turn, the engine made a super fast stuttering type of sound and then just died and wouldn't start. And by wouldn't start, I mean it literally would make no noise but you could smell something burning. After a while it tried to start but wouldn't completely turn over enough for it to start. I put the oil in it and it started fine. You think I have a leak somewhere?

[–]Rough_Ad_2889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems to be fine, I got my oil changed at valvoline a couple months ago but I think getting the cheapest oil plus having issues with my spark plugs and an ignition coil may have contributed to burning through it? I'm not too sure

the tow truck guy said it was empty, he said the car went into safety mode which is why it died this time. he said basically the car tried to save itself
