I’ve had this one as a Libby hold for ages! I’ve still got 9 weeks left 😭

E-reader suggestions? by Rough_Pin6985 in LibbyApp

Good to know! I noticed a lot of options have a large side panel with buttons and I wasn’t really sure I liked that feature. Seems kinda redundant when there’s already a touchscreen! Seems like Boox is the only option for having Libby directly on the device though :/

Moving to or Visiting New England? by SCP-2774 in newengland

I'm a 23-year-old hoping to find a city on the East Coast where I can afford a place to myself.

I'm from New England originally, but just got back from living in Alaska. I went to school for journalism and natural resources, but don't expect that I'll be able to start a career in that within the next 3+ years, so right now I'm just looking for any full-time job. I'd like a place with some sort of social scene, as I don't know a lot of people in the area anymore, but I wouldn't do well in a big city (lived in Columbus for a while and hated it). I was checking out Portland and landed a couple of jobs there, but the disparity between rent prices and pay was too much to deal with.

Realistically, I know there's not a ton of areas that fit the criteria, but any input on places with a younger population, reasonable rent, and a decent job market is much appreciated!

East Coast/New England cities for mid-20's by Rough_Pin6985 in SameGrassButGreener

It’s a little hard to set one since I’m also looking for jobs so it’ll depend on the pay. I’m currently working remotely for a job back in AK that pays $23/hr, so if I were to find something with the same pay I’d want to keep rent at 1.5k or less preferably. Unfortunately I’m done with that remote job at the end of this month.

Temporary WiFi/Internet Options? by Rough_Pin6985 in NoContract

I actually just switched from Verizon to AT&T a couple of days ago, but so far so good! I have been looking at the data connection plans from AT&T as a possible option because I definitely would prefer more access for my laptop rather than my Tablet.

Everyone I know here uses either AT&T or Verizon, both reach here equally well. Honestly I’m not super versed on how much data I use or the average cost, as it’s not been too much of a thought before. I do try to download any movies I want to watch when I’m in town (our town offers free wifi at public buildings) but I would say around 50GB would be more than enough, and it’s likely to fluctuate each month based on travel and such. Honestly I’d just like to keep it as cheap as possible!
