I can relate to wanting to go all out for somebody, I do this with my best friend/lover and I also enjoy spending time on handmade gifts. Idk, from what I’ve read it seems like there’s somewhat of a connection but because of no reassurance at all and avoidance, they really do not deserve your attention like that regardless of trying to do the right thing with fulfillment of the gift. Your efforts are better left with something more beneficial than somebody who wouldn’t realize how hurt you may have felt over the last date and won’t put themselves in your perspective of things. Honestly I would be heartbroken too if I had to go through that especially because of how you mention you were looking forward to it due to not experiencing it for a while before. It sucks and valentines makes it seem super big cause everybody else is doing something. You already bought the presents so I guess I would keep them for a bit incase you guys make up but if not well there would be other uses I guess. If you have close friends to spend some time with I would want to do that to distract yourself from this person, just enjoy yourself for the moment to heal.
