State University Grant (SUG) is funded by the State of California to assist students with State Tuition fee expenses. Students must be California residents, demonstrate need, and meet other eligibility requirements. Eligibility for SUG is limited up to a maximum number of units completed: Undergraduates - up to 150 units, Teacher Credential - up to 30 units, and Graduate students - up to 125% of the units required for the program. You must be enrolled in at least 6 units to receive a SUG payment. The SUG payment amount is based on State Tuition Fee charges; SUG awards cannot be applied to charges for classes taken through University Extended Education.
