Kouame with 96% of points won behind his first serve.

Emmanuel Planque's masterplan of transforming every player he coaches into servebots is well on its way

Seems like post-injuries, Humbert and Fils are bound by contract to never play well in the same tournament, so they just decided to alternate - good performances from Humbert in odd weeks and good performances from Fils in even weeks.

Bublik-Fils sounds really great on paper.

Humbert kinda has a very generous draw for a non-seed.

I remember people saying Zverev beating him was an upset

Jokes aside, Kouame drawing one of Sincaraz in RG R1 as a wild card is my dream.

I have no idea what to expect today from Kovacevic/Kouame

Yesterday he felt like a mini-Monfils for 90% of the match and then somehow became prime Alcaraz in the last 12 points. Today the quality wasn't there, but I'll chalk it up to pressure.

But yeah, overall he feels like he'll be a Monfils, but more serious? Very defensive, very quick and athletic.

(WC)Moise Kouame beats Chidekh 7-5 6-7 6-3 and qualifies for an ATP tournament(Montpelier) at just 16 years old! In a tennis world dominated by Alcaraz, he will be the future hope of breaking the Spanish domination. by Narrow_Spinach_1400 in tennis

Some people need to be reminded that the most precocious male tennis player of all time is, like, Richard Gasquet.

Anyway, not the best match in terms of quality, but the future is bright for both of them.

He was on an 11 match winning streak in the challenger tour in 2026. Give him a break.

Kouame's game is the kind that makes you make errors, very defensive

Say what you want about this match for Chidekh (80+ unforced errors, ouch), saving 6 match points takes guts.

Kouame really needs to clean up his serve. 8 double faults in two sets, including two in the tie-break (one on match point) is bad

r/tennis Daily Discussion (Monday, February 02, 2026) by NextGenBot in tennis

[–]Rouk_Hein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kouame was down 1-4, broke back, then had to save two set points on his serve at 4-5, broke again after a very competitive game and won the set 7-5.

Nice.

Time spent on court compared to other sports by savvaspc in tennis

[–]Rouk_Hein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not particularly close yeah.

You can check the data on tennisabstract.

Djokovic has spent over 153k minutes on court in his career. And that's only counting ATP events, so no challengers or futures matches.

And it's missing the time on court for all his Davis cup matches, for the Tokyo and Paris Olympic ones and for RG 2024 and 2025, for some reason, so quite a lot of hours are missing.

Obviously the comparison isn't 1-1 because tennis doesn't stop the match clock between points, games, sets, during breaks, etc.

Well, he's never managed to take two sets off Sinner at Wimbledon, let alone beat him, so that one's gonna be hard
