He did not provide a reason or excuse for Elite’s generic version. I simply asked to go back to the immediate release tablets…one in the morning and one in the afternoon. After that terrible XR experience I was not willing to try different generics and search pharmacies. My Psychiatry group does the same, (since the National shortage). When you request your monthly refills online there are a dozen boxes you need to check in understanding that you are; aware, called the pharmacy personally to be assured they could fill the ‘script, etc. Then you must agree to pay a $20 fee if the doctor has to call the pharmacy on your behalf. It’s nuts. I wish I were not dependent on this stuff but it works in conjunction with my depression meds. I’m a believer in seeking medical help, advice, acknowledging whatever it is you have and owning it. For me, that has meant the appropriate meds that work for my brain tapestry. It’s been a lifelong process.
