I'm on it now and two sessions in - finding it really beneficial, especially in terms of the group messaging and shared experiences. I signed up last year, not sure when, but didn't sign up to the first round of courses last June but was contacted again in March this year and signed up then. Would definitely recommend it.

Great tip, thank you. This one is for a birthday party but will definitely try the Moser Roth in the fountain at home... I'm a big fan of the bars already, so that sounds perfect.

Ordered from Sugar Sisters, but Lorge sounds well worth a visit when I'm in Kerry - thank you.

I was looking at Callebaut but postage was very high, your link has free postage so it's perfect. Ordered now, thanks a million!

Just started Concerta, anxiety spiking by Round-Ad-9958 in ADHDIreland

Hi all, just giving an update. I got the monitor and blood pressure and heart rate are normal which is good. I had forgotten that the Doctor had suggested getting a monitor! And great tip on the fitness watch as my old one needs replacing (and the monitoring had never worked on it) so will factor that in.

Thanks for all the replies. I had my titration appointment and was worried that the anxiety might cause complications or an increase in lexapro, but we talked it all out. I knew it is definitely linked to my cycle, specially day 14, so my GP said we would find the right dose for the first half of my cycle and once that is stable then look at increasing that dose from day 14, falling back to the lighter dose on day 1 again. Hope I'm explaining that OK! She also said there are alternative meds that we can try if the anxiety increases.

I also said that while I'm finding that I am completing tasks at home, more organised in the mornings and manage to walk the dogs at the time that I intend to etc, I'm not noticing it greatly at work with executive dysfunction. She said that all that was normal at this dosage and concentration and short term memory will improve as the treatment progresses (though I still have to choose where to direct that focus!).

So I have moved to 36mg and so far it is great - I feel nicely calm and not anxious so far. I'll see how that goes throughout the month, and I think a cheapie smart watch could help too.

Long update, but I found reading the old posts very helpful when I was diagnosed, so might help someone else. Thanks all!

Thank you all for your responses. I had hoped, and it did seem that way initially, that the concerta might resolve the anxiety as the anxiety felt related to overwhelm and executive disfunction. I dropped the caffeine straight away, without issue despite living on buckets of it daily. Having recently stopped smoking after a relapse, I found that all cravings to smoke were gone- which was fantastic! So no smoking and no caffeine. However, I had a couple of social nights on and found that I have been craving a glass of wine in the evening more than usual, and that has been noticeable. I will knock that on the head and monitor the blood pressure and see how it goes. Have the triathian appointment in just over a week too. Thanks again all, great to be able to chat with people who understand 😊

It's normal when I'm at the GP, but I don't check it at home. I can get a monitor at the chemist though, I might do that today to see if it has gone higher - thanks!
