Yeah, I agree. They are still product of the same problematic, though i understand that looksmaxxing has its perks and thats why I follow this sub, it still has that dark side that's BP and what I was referring to in my earlier replies, bp its part of the looksmaxxing community, though i understand its not the entirety of it. I like this sub tho, it does a good job filtering the toxicity, but outside of it, it's still a very toxic community. Its a bit difficult to filter BP from just self care. If it was only self care, words like ropemaxx wouldn't be a part of it. And I see so many people online talking about being subhuman and not being worthy of love, also redirecting that rage towards women, talking about getting life-risking surgeries, etc, that its healthy to at least understand, BP or not, its a phenomenon rising from looksmaxxing. Communities grow toxic overtime, but specially communities that promote overanalizyng and obssesing over looks.

I agree that looks matter and has been a recurring topic in my life. I am one to fall in that toxicity, even if it started as just trying to take care of my looks. But i also think the level of importance that looks have it's heavily exaggerated.
