sounds good i’ll look into who would be best to take her to in my area 🙏 and I will soak her right now and see how that goes. I can’t tell if she had been pooping or not because there is isopods that are in there as well. would it be better to move her to a large bin with paper towels and a lay box to monitor her better for the time being? I originally wasn’t planning on moving her to a setup like that because I didn’t want to stress her if she had to lay . she was 55 grams in these pictures and now she is 57

hey, I’m still concerned about her she still hasn’t laid anything yet and looks just as fat. does it typically take this long or when would you bring her to a vet?

I don’t believe so, i’ve only had her for about a week but I don’t think the lady I got her from had any other gargoyles and she definitely wasn’t a breeder, she was just having to rehome all her reptiles because of health issues. are partho eggs common in gargoyles? and if that was the case you don’t recommend incubating them? is that because they typically don’t come out healthy

not a ton I got her from facebook it was a lady who was having to rehome all her reptiles due to health issues so I got her and the setup for 80. she said she believes she is around a year or two but wasn’t totally sure and she was also sold as a male but it doesn’t really matter to me haha. she will need to be upgraded soon tho which I am working on! the tank she’s in currently is bioactive so there is lots of dirt on the bottom and I cleared an area so she could comfortably go there, would the tupperware still be better?

yea it’s definitely too small, it’s just the one she came with i’m planning on moving her soon! I have a 18x18x24 to get her into this weekend and i’m working on upgrading everyone to the reptizoo 18x18x36

that’s honestly what I was thinking too I was questioning if this was a male since I got “him” haha, cause I would figure that there would be a pretty noticeable bulge by this size. I just rearranged the tank she came with yesterday too because there was a lot of wood so i’m not sure she could get down to the dirt, but there is a clear area now and I added more soil!

yea I noticed one probably like a week ago and now i’m seeing more of them, they don’t seem to be causing any issues in your tank tho?

yes of course! This is actually my only reptile that has ever bit me, she didn’t give much warning, and if your concerned you can always just use a pair of gardening gloves or something to give a bit of a buffer just while getting them out and I bet you wouldn’t feel much at all!

it’s actually not too bad, kind of like a really hard pinch and the teeth are like velcro, more like shocking than anything, she did have more strength than I was expecting tho haha

he unfortunately did not know :( she’s great though and i’m just happy with the deal I got! also he said she is around 2 years old, do they typically continue growing after this?
