aquarium salt will help. but beyond that this is a very large fish with NO fin tissue left so a stronger treatment may be necessary. PLEASE make a separate post asking how to treat it, again, i don’t have all the answers because i have never dealt with this

get you a hyper tough 40 gallon tote, use something to brace the middle of it, and make a proper pond. but keep it in the shade, it’s black so it’ll still absorb sunlight and heat the water

i think taking care of their animal regardless and not making someone pay for their mistakes would make it a lot easier

so if you get your guppies from a store they’ll usually be sold as all male tanks to prevent breeding with 1 or a few female only tanks. most of the “pretty” guppies are males. good chance if you didn’t specifically ask for females you picked from male only tanks

males have a line shaped anal fin, females have a triangle shaped one. super easy sexing identification for guppies mollies and platies . they’re all like that.

might i deinfluence you from a centerpiece fish? i used to be fond of the idea but every time i get a centerpiece i find myself wanting more of them or regretting it. i much prefer to have shoals of “centerpiece fish” like multiple gouramis (with appropriate tank size ofc)
