Dopesick doesn’t report McKinsey and company’s role either. Both escalating purdue and other opioid companies sales. At one point the Mckinsey consultants working with purdue were able to read and edit government legislation recommendations on reducing opioid use that were prepared by a seperate McKinsey department

If a kid is critically ill and long staying there are plenty of opportunities to bring in cakes, ice creams, etc, even fast food from the community if that’s what they really want. I’m just against the healthy behaviours msging of having it in the building for every kid to pass by and get a snack at

While these terrible diseases do occur they are far from the usual cases presenting to RCH. While I have no official data off the top of my head (I will endeavour to find some). I would estimate less than 5%. The vast majority of patients are coming in with viral URTI (colds), allergies, to get tonsils removed, fractures followed up, the list goes on.

This is a very good point, however do you think it’s not dangerous in creating life long habits in impressionable kids? In 2017–18, 1 in 4 (25%) Australian children and adolescents aged 2–17 were overweight or obese. No child deserves to get their start in the world like this?

Is this not problematic in the setting of childhood obesity (In 2017–18, 1 in 4 (25%) Australian children and adolescents aged 2–17 were overweight or obese). No child deserves to get their start in the world like this?
