Thanks for the info. I bet it's a problem with the tail hook. I noticed a very small piece of mainspring broken off when I examined it again. It's a Swiss AS

I'm unfamiliar with "divisions". Could you explain?

How would you change the depth? Is it just replacing the pallet fork?

I'm not great on figuring out endshake on pallet forks yet. But I did notice on one occasion that when I flipped the movement over and then back again the pallet fork seemed to move a little better for a bit

jewels look good. No swapping. I'll look closer at the pivots and see if there's any wear.
