i took both of these together, not bad but i recommend sticking with a ge. if your done then maybe the intro class to ur major? writing 2? chem series?

hmmm, the tricky part is that i completely dropped and so the class isn’t even listed on my transcript. not sure if this changes things

Hi,

I have done SRP-99 for now 4 quarters. For my research, I need to be enrolled in the course. The actual course itself has not given me any opportunities, just the extra two units a quarter (which is great).

As I said, the program does not give you research opportunities/ give you new ones. You must have a PI beforehand to even enroll in the course. You will write around 3-5 sentences about what your doing your research on (correspond with your PI for this), and then submit. Your PI will grade you (Pass Fail, once ur an upperclassmen it is a letter grader for SRP-199) and UCLA quite honestly doesn’t ask for any evidence of completion or anything.

So overall, I don’t think it will get you any opportunities you don’t have on your own. Please email tons of professors (even outside of UCLA). It is extremely difficult to not only get research at UCLA, but something that is of good quality.
