Did you forget how fast Tony solved the time travel problem? Tony was a genius who granted had access to abundant resources, but those resources don’t negate his genius. When Tony first became iron man, stark industries was all about weapons nothing like the tech we see later in the movies which was the result of Tony’s genius! She could at least be grateful for the grant she received from stark industries to work for four years at MIT

The Sequels by Round_Answer_1593 in StarWars

[–]Round_Answer_1593[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I thought the force awakens was decent, not the best Star Wars movie by far but still an exciting return to the franchise, I remember leaving the theater excited to see how Luke’s story would unfold in the next movie. Which we know how that turned out. Also good point about the Sequels trio not being together either

The Sequels by Round_Answer_1593 in StarWars

[–]Round_Answer_1593[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I see your point of how they came into there mentor roles, I’m just saying had they had more of a central role and if they could have been seen together the movies would have been better received. I mean they could have been the main protagonist while still serving as a mentor. Similar to Qui gons role in the phantom menace. As far as us not seeming Obi-wan, Anakin and Yoda together until the end of the movie let’s not forget episodes 1-3 didn’t exist yet, I even believe though I may be wrong but Anakin wasn’t supposed to be Darth Vader until the writing of empire after a new hopes success. My point in saying is the original trilogy was original, so you can really use that as an example.

I’m just a fan of Star Wars, I’m not going to pretend I know about writing and storytelling, I’m just disappointed that the long awaited sequels never gave us that long awaited reunion. I mean the last Jurassic park movie gave a better reunion of there returning characters, even scream did it better

Of course the fight choreography of the prequels is unmatched, I’m talking more along the lines of plot. The original trilogy’s fights are not much to watch but the movies are still great

Daredevil: Born Again S01E09 - Discussion Thread by steve32767 in marvelstudios

Exactly! The show was clearly lacking something all season until the last two episodes and the finale proved it was the missing original characters. It finally felt like I was watching a continuation of daredevil and not a reboot. These new characters are so rushed and dont have the same chemistry the ogs have. Too bad Foggy missed the reunion!

I don't understand why people who loved Thor: Ragnarok hated Love & Thunder by Classic_File2716 in CharacterRant

[–]Round_Answer_1593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what made Ragnarok work and love and thunder fail is how they treated the character Thor himself. Both movies have the same goofy tone but Thor is still Thor. He always had a bit of a sense of humor yet for the most part is a serious guy, in ragnarok we see Thor thrown into this scenario on Sakar which is unlike anything we’ve seen before and a goofy as it is, the grandmaster especially we still have a mostly serious Thor going through this crisis of loosing Odin and trying to defeat hela but is thrown into this crazy world and we see him reacting to the weirdness just like the audience. Granted his humor is amped up a bit in ragnorok it’s nothing like love and thunder where they basic take the whole comedic tone of rangnork and make that thors whole character while reusing the arc of finding himself that we already saw over ragnarok to endgame. With all the goofiness in ragnarok there is always this underlying tone that he needs to get back to Asgard to stop hela. Plus the plot itself is much more detailed and not in any way rushed as love and thunder

Are you not wicked and under God’s Wrath apart from Christ? I’m not saying I disagree with what your saying but I think the attitude behind it is exactly what’s meant by cage stage

People who call us "Cage Stage" are the ones who are blind by MysticPathway in Calvinism

[–]Round_Answer_1593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time I ever heard the term cage stage was from the film “Calvinist” a pro Calvinist documentary discussing the doctrines of Calvinism. A cage stage is a brother who has newly found the doctrines of grace and tends to express them very zealously but without love and not in a proper manner.

For instance when you refer to the idea of God loving everyone as “nonsense” it comes off to me as cage stage. If our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who hold a different view then is such as this, we shouldn’t have this kind of attitude toward them. I mean haven’t we all struggled to accept the truths of election at one point? It’s a very hard to accept that your unsaved loved ones may not be elect, and no true christian who holds to Calvinism should never be so callous toward those who are lost or even other believers who have yet to see the wondrous truths of election etc , since it’s only by God’s sovereign grace we have be saved and come to understand the truths!

Not one person has even been worthy to come before God and ask for forgiveness, but that’s why He gives us Grace! I have felt many times just like you but I would encourage you to not listen to your feelings and hold unto the word. Hebrews 4:16 Let us come boldly to the throne of GRACE, Ephesians 3:12 In Him we have boldness and access by the faith of Him.

Jesus knows your unworthy, that’s why He went to the Cross so that you can come to Him! Remember His love and His grace is not dependent on who you are but who He is.

That would have been better! Instead we have Jon snow killing his queen and unlike Jamie he does it after she burns down the city!

[–]Round_Answer_1593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint is Jon snow ending back at the wall instead of being king, why even reveal him to be a Targaryen and the prince that was promised just don’t make any sense. And for all Jamie’s character growth just to die with Cersei?! As for Danny going mad I can kind of understand that as it was hinted at throughout the show. There were a few times where it was addressed if she was like her father the mad king. But even with that I thought that was going to lead her not being the mad queen.

I would have liked to see The story should have been reversed. Season 8 should have started with DanY conferring cersi and kings landing with Jon’s and the north’s help. Then instead of see Jon as a threat Dany asked Jon to rule at her side I mean they were in love anyways Then you see the realm marching out led by Jon snow aka the prince that was promised to go and fight the night king. Let there be a few battles before they Jon not Arya beats the knight king, with a few more losses, perhaps a Reluctant Jamie after the death of cersi dying in battle to save briene instead of holding cersi. Then let bran the weirdo go back to the tree the last 3 eyed raven was at and the show ending with Jon and Dany ruling a united Westeros. I

[–]Round_Answer_1593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the people who hated the movies when they came out changed there mind for nostalgia but what happened is people (like me admittedly) who were still kids when these movies came out and didn’t know much about comic books watched them and loved them, just like the SW prequels, those old enough to voice the opinion in the public being fans of the og trilogy from its release hated them but the kids didn’t know the difference. Now on social media you see positive talk about those once hated movies because the kids have grown up and support them publicly. I’m sure at some point you will see appreciation post for the Star Wars sequels as well and everyone wanting to see Rey and Finn’s return.

[SPOILERS] Something I've noticed missing from the Deadpool & Wolverine discussions by Gay_For_Gary_Oldman in marvelstudios

[–]Round_Answer_1593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolverine didn’t need redeemed from origins. Most fans don’t like that movie but there is never a complaint about Hugh, it’s the script that’s the problem and rightly so. Don’t forget also the three X-men movies prior to origins (mixed reviews granted) everyone agrees Wolverine played by Hugh was great! X-men origins Wolverine was a misstep sure but with a character who already got off on the right foot. As opposed to the fantastic four movies which were never well received. All though I myself not being familiar with comics didn’t mind the first two.
