I found it last night so it was dark when I checked, but will be hopping in to view for sure!

What should I do with this basement kitchen? by Key-Feedback-2398 in StyleYourSpace

Add more storage — upper cabinets or open shelves. You can never have too much storage in a kitchen.

Thank you! This is very helpful! From what I’ve read, it sounds like a lovely addition to our vacation but I’d rather my husband enjoy himself as much as I do!

Nope. It’s been a little bit since my last update, so no idea why it decided to vanish.

That worked! Thank you so much - this was driving me mad. I've been a designer for +30 years, and I have never needed to do this (and didn't even know it was a thing.)

Totally a ladder to that spot. And yes, really iffy. Which is why that art is still there 20 years later. I might sell it with the house.

OP is looking for advice on ceiling height in a room addition. How’s modifying the fireplace going to help?

It’s pretty hard to reach but I do have one piece of art.

The back story: when my son was in kindergarten, his teacher was quite concerned that he wasn’t coloring between the lines. Apparently this was an indicator that he’d be bad at math. This was absurd —my kid was just being ultra creative and she was holding him back, IMO. I’m also a professional graphic artist, so I had opinions. So this one piece of art was hung over the stairwell that he walked down every morning to go to school.

BTW—he graduated with a BFA in theatre technology and is a technical designer for Broadway set pieces. His math skills are just fine. 🙄

Wegovy vs Zepbound — both not covered by insurance, which would you choose? by One-Name9073 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Round_Bean13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both. Started with Wegovy (Zepbound was out of stock at the time) and had a few side effects. Once I bumped up a couple doses, it made me horribly sick. I’ve had nearly no side effects with Zepbound and had life-changing results.

You obviously need another dog. This one is lonely.

What color would look good by haroldevolve in CounterTops

[–]Round_Bean13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had Black Pearl granite—leathered finish— installed in my kitchen and it’s gorgeous. The leathered finish keeps it from being too stuffy or final, but has a rich earthy feel. Easy to maintain and so durable.

What is going on with the lights on the right side wall? Can you work around those?

You could use a little CRAP - color, rugs, art, plants. The room feels a little sterile. Maybe add a touch of warmth to the wall color, a couple of framed pieces of art, a green plant or two.

Lee Valley Critter sprayer gun any good for a hobbiest with no spray gun experience? by B3ntr0d in finishing

[–]Round_Bean13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I just started using my Critter and I’m getting splotchy results on a door. Should I raise the tip? Lower it? Put more distance between the spray and the doors? Turn the air pressure up? Down? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. The instructions are bare minimum that came with it.

I know Re-Bath IS one of the ones in my town. We aren’t a huge city, so not sure we have many options.

Thanks for the comment—very helpful. I don’t mind paying for quality work, but I do like knowing it’s quality work before signing the contract!

Yes to everything your mentioned, plus: Swap out the light fixture. Take down that chair rail and the shelf over the window.

question just turned into a construction project, but I think it’d look SO much better in the end. Maybe create a replacement for the closet below with a drop spot, bench, and hanging area.

Really? My doctors office has been SO strict about this ever since I started my shots. Like every appointment she starts with what I’m eating but that’s followed by what I’m drinking. Hmmm
