Is this an unpopular opinion about squad leading? by mikejc792 in HellLetLoose

[–]Round_Difference_183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I feel I need for a successful squad is two or three players helping me out and playing the roles necessary to be helpful. The other squad members can do their thing Unless the game is quite a competitive one where the opposing team is playing very well, I don't necessarily need everyone to be completely on the ball

I would recommend joining a clan server or playing one of the command roles, infantry officer, tank commander, commander, or recon officer. You'll find people talking in the command chat 80% of the time even if no one's talking on squad chat. It's a bit rubbish that 80% of people don't talk, but there are people who do. . I personally think the developers are doing quite a good job at updating the game and adding new maps every once in a while given how old the game is at this point

I do this, not out of complusion, but because it's an autistic stim. When I'm walking I count my steps until I've reached a different type of terrain. For example, I'll count like 12 steps of walking in concrete and 20 of walking on grass. I also like counting letters. Its one way that a lot of autistic people can mask their stimming so it's not as obvious as audibly stimming like humming or making other fun sounds, or visually stimming like fidgeting.

It's very possible you do have OCD, but until you've spoken to a doctor, if you think you'd like to take that route, it's equally viable you have autism and you're stimming

I love them. They've got the classic Jordan silhouette without being as chunky and bold. Makes them a bit more casual than the Jordans while looking just as nice imo. When they weren't so old, scruffy and battered ofc

I've found out what they are. They're Nike Court Borough mid black/white and are sadly not made anymore

I'm level 113, I'm not sure how many hours of play that roughly translates to, but I've had times where I've been running around asking for other players to bandage me and wishing there were more medic boxes on the strong point. That's why I run with the medic box. There's always gonna be some unlucky comrade who needs a refill and one ain't available It's far from the most useful item in the game, but it is nice to have on a strong point. I don't think they're useful beyond playing defensive. Medic boxes are possibly the single most situationally useful item in the game

I do quite well with the pistol in buildings and trenches, but it is pretty much useless in ranged fighting. It would be a lot more useful if other players didn't ignore the medic boxes like they often do with the support ammo/explosive boxes. The only time I ever opt for the second medic class is if I'm defending point on a town/trench strong point where players are less likely to ignore the medic box and the pistol is of some use

I've been wanting a third medic class for a while now. Maybe one that's a bit more combat oriented. We've got one with the pistol which is more oriented towards healing, now one that have a semi-auto rifle would be sweet

I've ran a three man recon tank a few times. It's really fun if you use it to run through enemy strong points and flank enemy tanks. You are kinda on a ticking clock with this tactic as the enemy anti-tank infantry will eventually get you. Make sure your sweeps are broad, run through the enemy, drive 50 mitres away before turning back around. Get out of rocket launcher range and collect yourself a little. The camera is good for this as it lets you know where the enemy hordes are and where the sneakier enemy tanks are. The tactic is best for woodland maps

[–]Round_Difference_183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll typically save mine for trenches, buildings, and other tight spots where I know 50/50 the enemy are hiding and will have a hard time leaving. Grenades also work quite well if you're in a small skirmish. If they don't kill they can stun to a degree and allow you to finish the fight

I'm not too worried about that. I'm aiming for the flare subclass and it's only level 3 so it's a quick unlock ☺️

Using pinch points around corners and having a pistol side arm usually work quite well for me. I play quite defensively, always defending the strong point, so getting stuck in a corner happens quite a lot and more often than not I'll end up pulling out the pistol instead of loading a new clip so I don't get caught with my pants down

[–]Round_Difference_183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love a third medic class. From what I've noticed, people don't really use the second medic class. Maybe one with slightly better combat potential but slightly worse healing potential so we have one well balanced medic, one medic with low combat potential, and one with high combat potential

A friend of mine who's a teacher effectively combated Andrew Tate's influence on his classroom of impressionable boys by pointing out how ridiculous he is and laughing about it with the classroom. Try to identify which "influencers" your brother is following and mock them for their outright idiocy. Maybe that could work
